\ Pond Pack Application Tips

Thank you for purchasing an Outdoor Water Solutions Pond Pack(s). For general

application, please follow the instructions below

Step 1: Lake & Pond Water Clarifier Day 1

 Apply at the rate of 10 lbs. per ¼ acre of water.

 Broadcast evenly across the surface of the pond, by hand

or with the aid of a hand held fertilizer spreader or coffee

can. If using to remove suspended particles, dissolve in

tap water and spray evenly across the pond surface.

Step 2: Lake & Pond Dye Day 1

 Throw in 1 packet for a ¼ acre pond with an average

depth of 4 feet.

 Re-treat in 30-90 days depending on amount of rainfall,

pond depth and amount of water disturbance.

Step 3: Lake & Pond Bacteria Day 1

 Initial application of 4 packets for a ¼ acre pond once

water temperature has reached 50 degrees F.

 Re-treat with 2 packets per ¼ acre pond every 2 weeks.

 For best results throw the water soluble packet into the pond

close to your aeration system. If you don’t have an aeration

system, throw packet into deeper part of pond.

 For ponds that have excessive sediment (black organic matter)

on the bottom or are prone to algae, you may want to double the

application rate of the bacteria for best results.

Note: We recommend using the Pond Packs as a natural solution to help prevent pond

problems from occurring. If you have historically had a lot of algae in your pond, it may

take some time for this program to work. If you do apply a copper based algaecide for

initial control of algae, it is best to wait at least 24 hours before beginning the Pond Pack

treatment program.

For ponds larger than ¼ acre, you may need to purchase multiple Pond Packs to get

season long performance.
