Features
The display is intuitive, simple to learn, and syncs eas-
ily with all Smart Equipment controllers. Building own-
ers and contractors can effortlessly monitor their equip-
ment or edit parameters from anywhere.
• The UI is a 10-inch WXGA type color, wide screen,
backlit display with a thin lm transistor (TFT) and
multi-touch, capacitive touchscreen at 1280 x 800
resolution
• Graphical representation of the Premier line of
rooftop units and its major components with real-
time data
• Displays separate pages to navigate for each ma-
jor component
• Allows user to congure the display unit to com-
municate with multiple controllers connected to a
common BACnet
®
MS/TP bus using the appropri-
ate conguration to match the selected controller.
• Displays active alarm events
• Built-in browser for web connectivity to MAP
Gateway
• Provides the ability to read documents (PDFs
only)
• Displays parameter data from the controller in a
graphical format
• Data upload/retrieval options
• Displays unit nomenclature for quick identication
of features and options on the unit
Theory of Operation
The display is available with the Applied Smart Equip-
ment type controller. It connects directly to the built-in
RS-485 port (SA or FC bus) on the main control board
(Figure 11 on page 10), allowing straightforward ac-
cess to monitor and change all of the equipment pa-
rameters.
Offering many-to-one, multi-client connectivity, the
MAP Gateway tool (Version 5.0 and above) is synced
with the display that gives user access to any Smart
Equipment device that is on a common BACnet (MS/
TP) field bus.
The display is operated through the built-in menu sys-
tem and MAP Gateway tool to provide access to the
real-time data and parameters stored in the Applied
Smart Equipment controller.
Display Configurations
Each display unit is pre-loaded with firmware. Different
display unit configurations customize the display as re-
quired for different unit applications.
When the user integrates the display with a controller,
the display unit matches one of its stored configuration
codes with the code defined in the controller configura-
tion. If it finds a match, then the display uses the cor-
responding display configuration. If it does not find a
match, it uses the default configuration.
The display unit matches the available configurations
only for the Applied Smart Equipment controllers.
Related Information
Refer to Chapter 4: Operating the Display, for informa-
tion on upgrading the display firmware in the field with
the latest released display configuration files.
Chapter 3: Installing the Display
Introduction
The display can be permanently mounted on a panel
or on the wall. For panel or wall mounting applications,
the display unit is permanently connected to at least
one controller.
This chapter describes how to:
• Mount the display on a wall or panel located in a
remote location from the unit
• Cable the display for a single controller application
• Cable the display for a multiple controller application
When the display is selected while ordering the unit
through the Selection Navigator tool, the factory
mounts the display on the unit control panel in the con-
trols section.
NOTE: The standard UI is installed in the unit control
panel as a default if the touchscreen display
was not selected when ordering the unit. If the
standard interface must be replaced with the
touchscreen display in the field, contact the
factory for further information.
