What Is Plug-Out?
Software synthesizers developed using ACB technology can be installed in the SYSTEM-8, and played and controlled using it. This capability is called
“plug-out.
Software synthesizers that support plug-out, including historical vintage Roland software synthesizers, can be played without using a computer.
Of course, you can also creative sounds intuitively by using the sliders and knobs of the SYSTEM-8.
The SYSTEM-8 lets you plug-out up to three software synthesizers to the MODEL [PLUG-OUT 1]–[PLUG-OUT 3] buttons.
About the MODEL [PLUG-OUT 1]–[PLUG-OUT 3] Buttons
5 When the unit is shipped from the factory, the Jupiter-8” (*1) software synthesizer is installed in the [PLUG-OUT 1].
