3. Basic Operation

3.1 Power-on/off Button

◆ Powering on

Press and hold the power-on button when the radio is off。

The radio enters pre-view mode after being powered-on, and the

green indicator keeps glowing.

◆ Powering off

Press and hold for 3 seconds on pre-view mod e, and the picture shown on the right appears, which

indicates the radio is being powered-off.

3.2 Operating Status Indicator

The green LED indicator glows after the radio is powered on; the red LED indicator flashes once when taking

photo and keeps flashing when videotaping.

3.3 Charging Indication

The red indicator glows when charging and the green indicator glows when the battery is full.

3.4 Video Positioning Light

By using PC software, the video positioning light can be powered on and the lighting time can be set.

3.5 LED Light

Press on the pre-view mode to power on/off the LED light.

3.6 Infrared Night Light

Press on the pre-view mode to power on/off the in frared night light, and the valid shooting distance is

≥10m.

3.7 Microphone

Used for communication a nd sound collection.

3.8 Video/One-touch Video

On the v ideo pre-view mode, press to start shooting and activate the

3.9 PTT Button (Optional Feature)

You can use a specialized connecting cable to connect the product with a radio; press PTT button and speak

to transmit to the other party; release it to receive (This feature is optional and can be customized according to

requirements).

3.10 Sound Recording

Press on the video pre-view mode and start sound recording, during which the counting symbol shown on

the right appears. Press

again to stop recording.

3.11 Photo Taking/Continuous Shooting Button

Press on the video pre-view mode to take photos and meanwhile the red

indicato

flashes. The photo will be saved automaticall

3.12HDMI Interfac e

This product can realize HD video output feature through the specialized connecting cable.

3.13Reset Key

When the reorder crashes out of different reasons, you can press this reset key to switch it off, and the

recorder will recover t o normal when powered-on again.

3.14USB/AVin Interface

Plug in USB cable to realize data interaction between the recorder and computer and to charge the battery.

Use the specified external camera to realize features such as concealed sound recording, photo taking and

video shooting.

3.15Playback Speaker

Used for playback of audio files.

3.16HD Display Screen

The recorder applies HD display screen of 2 inches，which is used for playback of files such as photos, sound

recording, videos.

3.17File Playback/Menu Button (M Key)

Press M key in preview mode to enter file browse mode; press or to move the cursor for file selection

(selected if the icon changes its color); select the file of corresponding format and press OK key to open the

file; press M key to perform switch return feature; for video playback and slide play, press M key to quit play

and return to file browse mode.

Note:

JPG is image file, and on the video pre-view mode, there will be yellow indication on the top right icon;

WAV is audio file, and in the sound recording status, there will be yellow indication on the top r ight icon;

MP4 is video file, and in the shooting status, there will be yellow indication on the top right icon;

◆Video File Playback

Press M key to enter file browse mode, and press

or to select a icon. Press OK key to enter the video

file picture frame; press

or to move the cursor and select playback file （selected if the icon changed

its color）; after selecting the playback file, press OK to enter the video file playback. Press

the playback file(selected when the icon changes color); after the playback file is selected, press OK key to

play the sound recording file. Press Pau se key during the playback and press

or to adjust volume.

Press M key to perform switch return feature.

Press OK key on the pre-view mode to enter battery-saving mode. Press OK key and wait 10 seconds for

switching on WiFi intelligent remote feature(optional feature).

Notes:

A. WiFi intelligent remote control feature, and you need intelligent phone + A PK software to use it. APK

supports Android and IOS phone.

B. APK software (LinKlnEyes) can be downloaded on the phone App platform, e.g. 360 phone assistant, APP

STORE, etc.

C. Software. Press OK key on the recorder and wait 10 seconds for switching on WiFi; open

APK

software on the phone, and open WLAN to search for network amba_boss for connection with pin

1234567890. The connection steps are as follows:

D. Features such as remote control photo taking, videotapi ng, and file playback can be realized though APK

software. The valid distance is 15-20 meters.

3.18Radio / Public Network Transmitting Interface (Optional Feature)

This product applies pin-type data interface, and it can be connected with any radios of major brands using a

specialized connecting cable. Public network video transmission and remote dispatch are available by

connecting a specialized external 3G/4G module.

3.19 Built-in GPS/BD Positioning (Optional Feature)

This product can realize g lobal positioning and positioning trace playback

through built-in GPS/BD dual module (this feature is optional, and can be

customized according to requirements).

3.20 Manual Focus

This product supports manual focus of 1-64 times. Press or to

focally adjust on the pre-view mode.

Note: Invalid under resolution of 1920*1080 P30 (HDR).

3.21 Wireless Remote Control (Optional feature)

This product supports wireless remote control feature, and the valid distance is about 5-8 meters.

Note:

A key for remote control photo taking; B key for remote control videotaping; C key for remote control sound

recording; D key for remote control power-off.

4. Management Procedure Installation and Directions

4.1 Overview

The management procedure software is intended for DSJ-F9 law enforcement recorder development. By

using the software, relevant parameters of recorder can be set, and you can also upgrade its version, copy or

delete its data.

4.2 Access Method to Management Software

Please email to the address “marketing.[email protected]” with your product information and contact detail or

contact with your local dealer for accessing the management software.

4.3 Installation Environment

Hardware Environment: Intel platform.

System Environment: Windows xp sp3/Windows7 (32bit/64 bit).

Software E nvironment: Microsoft dotNetFx40, DirectUSB-Setup and Configuration Manager.

4.4 Software Update

1) At the interface “Law Enforcement Recorder Management Software —F9 P C Setting Software”, click

“Read/Write Mode”; “Set Removable Disk successful” will pop up and you will see a new disk icon in “My

Computer”. The new disk is where the recorder data are stored; Copy the upgrade file to the disk.

2) Detach the USB cable which is connected to the law enforcement recorde r and the recorder will be

powered off; switch on the recorder again and “Firmware Upgrade” will po p up with default value of “No” ;

press “

” to select “Yes” and press menu key “M” to finish software upgrade; after the upgrade, connect the

recorder back to PC software; format the recorder or delete the upgrade software in the content, otherwise

“Firmware Upgrade” will keep popping up.
