3. Usage and maintenance
3.1 Measurement: remove the protection cap from the electrode, press [ON/OFF] to turn on the power.
Put the electrode into the solution to be tested, then the meter shows the pH and temperature data of
the solution. After measurement, clean the electrode with water, put on the protection cap, press and
hold on [ON/OFF] to turn off the meter.
3.2 The meter has got calibrated before its shipment. For calibration operation, please refer to chapter “4.
Calibration” of this manual
3.3 Measurement after long time not used (over two months), the glass bulb of the electrode should be
dipped in the water for 30 minutes, which should be under water 2-3 cm.
3.4 Maintenance: the electrode should be well cleaned with water. If the meter displays a cell graphic, it
means the cell voltage is low, please replace it with a new cell. Please pay attention to the cell
polarity during the replacement.
4. Calibration
4.1 Press [CAL] button to enter into calibration status, CALis then twinkling on the screen. Please
follow up the steps shown on the screen and put the electrode into a corresponding standard solution.
For example, the meter shows 7.00, please put the electrode into 7.00 standard solution and wait.
After the meter has finished 7.00 calibration, it shows 4.00, please clean the electrode with pure
water and dry it with filter paper, then put the electrode into 4.00 standard solution and wait. After
the meter has finished 4.00 calibration, it shows 10.01, please clean the electrode with pure water
and dry it with filter paper again, and then the electrode should be put into 10.01 standard solution.
After the meter has finished 10.01 calibration, the “CAL” will not be shown on the screen any more.
The meter returns back to measurement status. The calibration is finished.
4.2 During the calibration, to press [CAL][ON/OFF] button could stop and quit from the calibration
status. Data is not refreshed. To press [HOLD] button could stop and quit from the calibration status
