Tripp Lite P936-000 is a device that converts IDE peripheral connections like hard drives, CD-ROMs, CD-RWs, and DVD-ROMs to Serial ATA connections. It supports Serial ATA (SATA) version 1.0 and data transfer speeds of up to 150 Mbps using the UDMA protocol. It supports ATAPI Packet command set and can be used with any operating system when a PC with the available Ultra ATA hard disk (IDE) and available Serial ATA Host Port are used. It supports hot-plugging, meaning devices can be connected and disconnected without the need to reboot the system.

SATAcontrollerandthe7-pinSATAportontheP936-000.

2. Connecttheincluded4-pinpowersplittercabletothemini

4-pinconnectorontheP936-000.Connecttheothertwo4-pin

connectorstothecorrespondingportsontheIDEharddiskand

theSATAcontroller.

Note: The IDE hard disk must be switched to master mode.

3. ConnecttheIDEconnectorontheP936-000totheIDEharddisk.
