FromtheHomescreen:
1.Select
Menu>Set-up>Maintenance>Aboutthisunit.
2.Scrolldown.
Softwareversionsofconnectedcomponentsaredisplayed.

erformingsoftwareupdatesRaymichandset
IfyourwiredhandsetisrunningsoftwareversionV1.32orabovethenthehandsetwillbeupdated
automaticallyatthesametimeastheBasestation.Ifyouhandsetisrunningasoftwareversionbelow
V1.32thenyourBasestationandhandsetmustbeupdatedseparately.
TheradiomustbeconnectedtoacompatibleMFDoverSea Talkng®.
TheDatamasterMFDmustbeusedtoperformsoftwareupdate.
OnceyouhaveupdatedyourBasestationsoftwarefollowthestepsbelowtoupdateyourhandset.
1.Ensureamemorycardthatcontainsthenecessarysoftwarefilesisinsertedintothecardreader
ofyourMFD.
2.WiththeRadio’sBasestationpoweredon,turnofftheRaymicHandsetbypressingthe Power
buttonlocatedonthetopoftheHandset.
3.Pressandholdthe DistressandPTTbuttonsontheHandset.
4.PresstheHandset
Powerbuttonfor1second,untilthebacklightturnson,andthenreleaseall
threebuttons.
TheHandsetisnowinupdatemode.
5.NowcheckforsoftwareupdatesusingyourMFD:
LightHouse™2FromtheHomescreenselect: Set-up>Maintenance>CheckCardfor
Updates.
LightHouse™3FromtheHomescreenselect:
Settings>Updatedsoftware>CheckSDcard.
6.SelectyourRadioandselect Update.
(TheLCDbacklightwillflashwhentheupdateisinprogress.)
7 .Whentheupdateiscomplete,checkyourradiossoftwareversion.
8.Removedthememorycardfromthecardreader.

Blownfuse/trippedbreak er
1.Checkthefuse,locatedinlinewiththepowercable.Ensure
thatithasthecorrectrating(10A),asanunder-ratedfuse
canaffectthepowersuppliedtotheradio.Ifthefusehas
blown,replacewithanew10Afuse.
2.Checktheconditionofrelevant/additionalfusesand
breakersandconnections,replaceifnecessary.
3.Iffusekeepsblowingcheckforcabledamage,broken
connectorpinsorincorrectwiring.

connections
1.Checkthatthepowercableconnectorisfullyinsertedinto
theunitandlockedinposition.
2.Checkthepowersupplycableandconnectorsforsignsof
damageorcorrosion,replaceifnecessary.
3.Withtheunitturnedon,tryflexingthepowercablenear
tothedisplayconnectortoseeifthiscausestheunitto
re-boot/loosepower,replaceifnecessary.
4.Checkthevessel’sbatteryvoltage,theconditionofthe
batteryterminalsandpowersupplycables,ensuring
connectionsaresecure,cleanandfreefromcorrosion,
replaceifnecessary.
5.Withtheproductunderload(whentransmittingat25W),
usingamulti-meter,checkforahighvoltagedropacrossall
connectors/fusesetc,andreplaceifnecessary.
IncorrectpowerconnectionThepowersupplymaybewiredincorrectly ,ensurethe
installationinstructionshavebeenfollowed.

Checkthatyourpowersupply(batteryordistributionpanel)is
providingaminimumof10.2Vtotheradiowheninstandby,and
alsowhentransmittingat25W.
