6. Do not use the Charger if Power Cord or Plug has been damaged. Do not use
cordless Sweeper or Charger if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors,

13. Do not use the Sweeper without Dirt Container in place.
14. Do not attempt to empty Dirt Container while unit is running. Always turn
appliance Off and unplug before emptying/replacing Container.
15. Unplug and turn off Sweeper before clearing debris from Floor Brush Assembly.
16. Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes,
matches, or hot ashes. Do not use to pick up ammable or combustible liquids
such as gasoline or use in areas where the vapors or materials may be present.

This product includes rechargeable Nickel-Metal Hydride(NiMH) batteries.
Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly. Contact your local
waste disposal authority to nd out proper disposal procedures. Recycle
batteries free-of-charge by contacting the RBRC at 1-877-2-RECYCLE
or www.call2recycle.org. Do not incinerate batteries or expose to high
temperatures as they may explode or cause injury.

19. Follow all labels and marking instructions on your Sweeper.
20. Always switch unit Off before plugging in Charger.
21. Store the cordless Sweeper indoors in a cool, dry location.
22. Do not use Charger with extension cord. Plug charger directly into standard
(120V, 60Hz) electrical outlet. Using improper voltage for charging may result
in damage to the Battery and possibly injury to the user. Allow Battery to cool
before charging.
23. DO NOT MODIFY THE CHARGER PLUG provided with Sweeper in order to make
it t in an outlet. The Adapter provided should t ALL standard household out-
lets. If it will not t the outlet, check the outlet rating or have a proper outlet
installed by a qualied electrician
24. Do not attempt to use the Charger with any other product or appliance.
Do not use any other chargers to charge your cordless Sweeper, either. This
could result in damage to the Sweeper as well as the Charger, wall outlet
and household materials. Either of these actions will void the warranty for this
product.
25. If Sweeper or Charger are damaged, they must be repaired by manufacturer,
its service agent or a similarly qualied person in order to avoid safety issues.
Failure to do so, could impair the efciency of your Sweeper or Charger and
invalidate the warranty.
26. Use care when cleaning stairs. Sweep stairs with appliance below you.
27. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
28. Read and follow all important notices in this guide.

CHARGE THE BATTERY!
YOUR NEW VACUUM IS SHIPPED WITH THE BATTERIES
UNCHARGED. BATTERY CHARGING IS REQUIRED
FOR 16 HOURS BEFORE THE FIRST USE.
Power Adapter is equipped with a Safety Shutoff that automatically
stops charging when battery pack is fully charged.
To maintain peak performance of the DS001, we recommend that
the unit be fully drained, then completely recharged for 16 hours
at least once per month.

CHARGE THE UNIT FOR 16 HOURS BEFORE FIRST USE!
DO NOT MODIFY THE CHARGER PLUG provided with the DS001 in order
to make it t in an outlet. The Adapter provided should t ALL standard
household outlets. If it will not t the outlet, check the outlet rating or have
a proper outlet installed by a qualied electrician.
Your DS001 Sweeper comes with one Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) 6 V
DC battery and one Charging Adapter. The battery comes packed
in the Battery Compartment on the Lower Handle of Sweeper, and
should be charged while seated in the Battery Compartment.
To charge the Sweeper Battery:
• Plug Charging Jack in opening on the backside of the Lower
Handle assembly.
• Plug Charging Adapter in an electrical outlet and allow to charge
for 16 hours.
NOTE:
Power Adapter is equipped with a Safety Shutoff that automatically
stops charging when Battery is fully charged. To maintain peak perfor-
mance, fully drain the power then completely recharge for 16 hours at
least once per month.
Charge as needed after rst charging, for up to 16 hours.

To maximize life of Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH)
Batteries:
• Do not store unit with the Charging Adapter attached and
plugged in.
• Only recharge when battery is fully discharged (or as close to fully
discharged as possible). Batteries should be fully discharged at
least once a month.
• Do not store battery in areas of high temperature or humidity.
• After three (3) months of storage or non-use, your Sweeper may
not work. The battery has probably fully discharged and may
need a full re-charge. Charge for at least 16 hours.
• Use only the Charging Adapter that came with your Sweeper. Do
not use other adapters to charge DS001 Sweeper.
• Always turn the Power Switch Off when unit is not in use. The Power
Indicator Light will go Off when power is off.

Nickel-Metal Hydride Battery Removal and Disposal
At the end of your NiMH battery pack's useful life (when charge
only lasts about 5 minutes), you should dispose of it through an
approved recycling program. Your NiMH batteries may be recycled
(in U.S. or Canada) free-of-charge by contacting the Rehargeable
Battery Recycling Corporation toll-free at 1-877-2-RECYCLE
(1-877-273-2925) or visit http://www.call2recycle.org.
Call Customer Service at 888-896-8786 for replacement batteries.
BATTERY CAUTIONS
• Use only the Battery supplied with your DS001 Sweeper.
• Never use ordinary batteries for replacement – they may leak
and cause damage. Any other type of battery may present a
risk of re or explosion.
• Never throw Battery or Sweeper into a re or incinerator.
Do not attempt to open the Battery Pack. If casing is broken, or
if Battery Pack emits an unusual odor or excessive heat or leaks
any substance, do not use the Battery Pack. Wear rubber gloves
when handling damaged Battery Pack. Dispose of gloves and
damaged Battery Pack properly in accordance with toxic
material disposal regulations.
Do not attempt to open the Battery Pack. If the batteries inside
the battery pack have reached the end of their life, then the
entire battery pack must always be replaced. Call Customer
Service for replacement batteries.

REMEMBER: Always remove the Charger Jack from the Battery
before using, assembling, cleaning, installing or removing the Dirt
Container. Be sure Dirt Container is installed in unit before use. If Dirt
Container is full, empty it, following the steps on page 9.
Place the Sweeper Base/Lower Handle
assembly on the oor. Lift the Lower
Handle assembly so it is upright.
With at side of Extension Tube facing for-
ward, place either end of Extension Tube
into the Lower Handle assembly and push
down until it locks in place.
Insert Upper Handle into top of Extension
Tube. Push down until white button pops
through opening and Upper Handle
"clicks" and locks in place.
Lift and position the Handle/Extension Tube
in the upright position for storage – it will click
into place.
If battery was charged in unit, unplug
Charging Jack from the back of Lower
Handle assembly, and the Adapter from wall
outlet. Now you can use Sweeper, or store in
a cool, dry location.

Use Your DS001 Sweeper
Once your DS001 Sweeper has been fully charged and assembled,
it's ready to go to work. Simply slide the large Power Switch on the
Upper Handle and begin using.
Depending on the type of surface being cleaned, the DS001 Sweep-
er will work for almost 30 minutes using all Brushes. Sweeper may run
for more than 30 minutes when using the single Rear Brush only.
Slide the Power Switch down from the
"Off" position to turn unit On. The Power
Indicator Light above the Battery
Compartment will illuminate "red"
when power is On.
• "LOW" setting is for bare oors. This
setting uses Rear Brush only.
• "HIGH" setting is for carpeting and
heavily soiled oors. This setting uses
both Front and Rear Brushes.
With Sweeper speed properly set, simply
pull the Handle toward you to begin.
To stop sweeping at any time, slide the Power Switch to the "OFF"
position. Power Indicator Light will go off, too.
Lift and position the Handle/Extension Tube in the upright position
for storage – it will click into place.

CAUTIONS
• Brush Assembly will begin rotating as soon as the Power Switch
is turned on. Make sure the Base is sitting face down on the
oor before turning Power Switch on. Always keep hands, face,
hair,ngers and anything else that may get caught in rollers,
away from Brush Assembly when in use.
• Always remove Charger Jack from the Sweeper before using,
assembling, cleaning, installing or removing Dirt Container.
• Always be sure Dirt Container in installed in unit before use.
• If Dirt Container is full, empty it following the steps on page 9.

Empty and Clean Dirt Container
We recommend emptying the Dirt Container after each use to
maximize the Sweeper's performance. Perform the task over a waste
receptacle or on a covered counter surface.
Press and hold the Dirt
Container Release Button
to release Dirt Container
from Sweeper Base. Hold
Button down to keep
debris inside.
Let go of Dirt Container Release
Button and empty Container
contents into a waste receptacle.
Wash Dirt Container with clear
water. NEVER clean Dirt Container
in dishwasher! Be sure Dirt Container
is completely dry before replacing it
on Sweeper Base.
NOTE: To prevent Roller Brushes from
rotating should the Sweeper be accidentally switched "On",
the DS001 Sweeper is equipped with a Safety Shutoff Switch that
activates when Dirt Container is removed from Sweeper Base.
Seat Dirt Container on the back of Sweeper Base and rmly press
in place. When Container is properly seated, the Release Button
will lock in the "up" postion.
NOTE: If Sweeper does not operate, be sure the Dirt Container is properly
locked in place.

Clean the DS001 Sweeper
The DS001 Sweeper requires little maintenance. It contains no user
serviceable parts, so do not try to repair it yourself. Any servicing that
requires disassembly other than cleaning must be performed by a
qualied appliance repair technician.
Clean Sweeper Base, Extension Tube and Handle using a damp, soft
cloth. Wipe the unplugged Power Adapter with a damp cloth.

Clean Brush Assemblies
On occasion, your DS001 Sweeper Brush Rollers may become
blocked with debris, or they may cease to move. When this occurs,
shut off Sweeper and remove the debris.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This Sweeper has an auto-shutoff feature which cuts
power to the unit if brush rollers stop rotating. To start back up after auto-
shutoff, turn power off and then back on, by sliding the Power Switch.
CLEANING LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT BRUSHES
• Turn Power Switch Off.
• Remove Left and Right Front
Brushes. Turn each of the Brush
Caps toward the front of unit
to unlock.
• Pull each Brush from the side of
Sweeper Base.

*IMPORTANT*
To avoid damaging moving parts and batteries, NEVER IMMERSE THE
SWEEPER BASE IN WATER!
Also, when wiping off Sweeper, do not allow moisture in the area
around the Power Switch and/or in the Charger Power Port.
THERE ARE NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE THE SWEEPER BASE.
If Sweeper is damaged, return it to manufacturer or an authorized
service center for examination and/or repair.
• Clean lint, string and hair from roller
brushes. An old comb or strong pick
may help untangle debris.

• With Sweeper Base ipped over, replace the clean Left and Right
Front Brushes. Slide each Brush into its respective side and be sure
to place each Brush over it's Center Pin.
• Once Front Brushes are in place
on the Center Pin, turn each
Brush Cap back down toward
the oor to lock Brushes in place.
• Remove the Rear Brush by pressing the 2 Locking Clips into the
unit until the Cover Plate is freed. Lift the Plate up and off the unit
and wipe with a clean cloth. Set Cover Plate aside.

• Slide the right side of Rear Brush out of the Sweeper. Pull it up and
out to remove.
• Clean lint, string and hair from Rear Brush. An old comb or strong
pick may help untangle debris.
• Replace clean Rear Brush by sliding it back into the Sweeper Base
with the at end of the Brush facing out. Be sure Brush is seated on
the Center Pin.
• Replace Cover Plate by inserting the 8 tabs on Cover Plate into
the 8 slots on the bottom of Sweeper Base. Tilt forward until both
Locking Clips lock in place.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Euroex Americas warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1)
year from the date of the original purchase, when utilized for normal household use, subject to the following conditions,
exclusions and exceptions.
Should any defect covered by the terms of the limited warranty be discovered within one (1) year, Euroex Americas
will repair or replace any defective part provided the unit is returned by the original purchaser, freight prepaid, to:

Proof of purchase and $9.95 for handling and return packing/shipping charges must be included.
The liability of Euroex Americas under this warranty is limited solely to the cost of the replacement parts or the
complete unit at our option. LABOR CHARGES ARE NOT INCLUDED.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts and does not apply to any unit that has been tampered with or used
for commercial purposes. This warranty does not apply to any defect arising from misuse of the product, negligence,
failure to follow Euroex’s instructions, use on current or voltage other than that stamped on the product, alteration or
repair not authorized by Euroex, or damage due to faulty packaging or mishandling in transit (by any common carrier).
Repair or disassembly by anyone other than a Euroex authorized service center will void the warranty.
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser of the unit and excludes all other legal and/or conventional
warranties. The responsibility of Euroex Americas, if any, is limited to the specic obligations expressly assumed
by it under the terms of the limited warranty. In no event is Euroex Americas liable for incidental or consequential
damages of any nature whatsoever. Some States/Provinces do not permit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights which vary from state to state or province to province.
If you have questions or concerns regarding your Euroex appliance, please contact Customer Service. Please do not
return any product without contacting Euroex for return authorization. Unauthorized returns, as well as C.O.D.
shipments, will be refused.
*Important: After receiving return authorization, carefully pack item to avoid damage in shipping. Be sure to include
your name, complete address and phone number with note giving purchase information, model number and what you
believe is the problem with item. We recommend you insure the package (as damage in shipping is not covered by
your warranty). Mark the outside of your package “ATTENTION CUSTOMER SERVICE”.

NICKEL-METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY WARRANTY
Every Nickel-Metal Hydride Battery Pack sold with cordless Euroex Americas products is warranted to the or iginal
purchaser only to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Subject to certain exceptions, Euroex
Americas will repair or replace a battery pack which, after examination, is determined by Euroex Americas to be
defective in material or workmanship for the stated warranty period from date of purchase. Return of the battery
pack to a Euroex Americas Service Center location, freight prepaid and insured, is required. A copy of the proof
of purchase should be included with the return product. This warranty does not apply to damage that Euroex
Americas determines to be from repairs made or attempted by anyone other than Euroex Americas authorized
personnel, misuse, alterations, abuse, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or accidents.
Warranty Registration is not necessary to obtain the applicable warranty on a Euroex Americas battery pack. The
manufacturing date of the product will be used to determine the warranty period if no proof of purchase is provided
at the time warranty service is requested.
