, enter a patient’s name to search from
the existing list, select the patient name then select the
button, or

Select the button, enter patient
demographics and medical history then select the
button. (Date of birth and sex must be
entered correctly.)

Instruct the patient to lay in a supine position.

Prepare the patient for the test. NOTE: Proper patient
preparation is essential for minimized artifact, a
clean ECG and accurate results.
a. Shave hair (if necessary) from electrode sites. (Refer
to opposite side of this card for proper placement.)
b. Rub skin with alcohol wipes. Let air dry.

Adhere electrodes to the patient.

Attach the ECG clips from the patient cable to
the electrodes according to the leadwire labels or
color codes.

Ensure the patient is relaxed.

Select the button.

Select the appropriate buttons to enter technician name,
physician name and indication.

Select the button for IQecg
®

Wait for ECG tracings to pass twice (~20 seconds) and
their baselines to stabilize. Select the button to
acquire the ECG test.
11 In the Report Review screen, select the button to
save and exit.

V1 (Red/Brown) – Fourth intercostal place at the right margin of the sternum.
V2 (Yellow/Brown) – Fourth intercostal place at the left margin of the sternum.
V3 (Green/Brown) – Midway between V2 and V4 (on top of the 5th rib).
V4 (Blue/Brown) – Fifth intercostal place at the left midclavicular line.
V5 (Orange/Brown) – At the horizontal level of V4, at the anterior axillary.
V6 (Purple/Brown) – At the horizontal level of V4, at the midaxillary line.
(White/White) – Right lateral side
of the upper arm below the shoulder.
(Black/White) – Left lateral side of
the upper arm below the shoulder.
(Green/White) – Inside calf,
midway between knee and ankle.
(Red/White) – Inside calf,
midway between knee and ankle.
