WT9620 Hands Free Charger (HFC) Basic User

The PC-Hands Free Charger interface:
Hardware Requirement: PC with serial driver, the handset, the charger, an AC
mains adaptor, a special serial cable with plug for PC and a 6 pin serial plug for the
charger.
Keyboard: All normal telephone keys on the handset can be activated from the PC’s
keyboard, or by using the mouse. The exact PC functionality that will operate with the
Hands Free Charger will depend on the PC set up and installed software. Microsoft
Dialler and dialling from Outlook Contacts can be operational.
Telephone Book: It is possible to upload the handset phone book to the PC and to:
Delete the phone book in the handset
Download the phone book to the handset
Add names and numbers to the handset phonebook
(The Avaya software will install a program called ‘Handset Service Provider’
which will open up a telephone book screen. The phonebook tab will provide the
selection of required task)
Handset Idle Display: The WT9620 handset start-up text display can be customized
from the PC with a special ‘Avaya Communication Service Tool’ program (Refer to
separate instructions). The idle display has a twelve-character maximum.
