Cannas are among the most colorful summer bulbs with
ruffled spikes tapering to refined buds, boasting immense,
paddle shaped leaves. Their great reedy canes and palmy
foliage make for large, magnificent plants, yielding blooms all
summer for long lasting curb appeal. They are deer resistant
and appear most dramatic when grouped in masses. These
are fast growers with large flowers.

About This Variety: Red King Humbert cannas bloom tomato-red blooms, with bronze glossy foliage. Looks great
planted amid green leafed shrubs and other green leafed perennials as they add depth to the garden. Pollinators
such as hummingbirds love the variety. Best of all they are dear resistant, but sadly often sold out before the end of
the season.
Growing Instructions: Where not hardy, plant outdoors in early summer 2” deep, setting the rhizome in the hole,
‘eyes’ (shoots) up. Cannas do best with a good supply of water.
Care Tip: As flowers fade, deadhead to promote continued flowering. They like moist conditions.
Exposure: full sun to partial shade
Height: grows 72” tall
Spacing: plant 18-24” apart, 2-4” deep
USDA Zones: hardy in USDA zones 8-11
