Preface
The PEGASUS ICE Enclosure has been developed in order to provide a comprehensive
enclosure solution for Arcom’s PEGASUS single board computer. The enclosure can be
configured to suit a complete range of embedded applications with options.

Scope of this Manual
This manual covers the enclosure and related interconnections.
The enclosure contains a PEGASUS single board computer with suitable breakouts for
keyboard, mouse, serial ports and Ethernet.
Anti-Static Handling
The PEGASUS fitted inside the PEGASUS ICE contains CMOS devices. These could be
damaged in the event of static electricity being discharged through them. At all times, please
observe anti-static precautions when handling circuit boards. This includes storing boards in
appropriate anti-static packaging and wearing a wrist strap when handling.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
The PEGASUS is classified as a component with regard to the European Community EMC
regulations and it is the users responsibility to ensure that systems using the board are
compliant with the appropriate EMC standards.
The PEGASUS ICE Enclosure meets the following standards:

EN 50082-2 Generic Immunity from industrial environments

Packaging
Please ensure that should a system need to be returned to Arcom, it is adequately packed,
preferably in the original packing material, as damage caused in transit may invalidate any
warranty claim.

Introduction
The enclosure is intended for use with all variants of the PEGASUS boards.
The PEGASUS ICE offers:
A fully CE compliant enclosure for the PEGASUS board single board computer
Power input for +5V DC input.

Battery Link Setting
Please Note: The PEGASUS battery link (LK1) is fitted on the PEGASUS fitted inside the
enclosure. PEGASUS boards shipped separately, not fitted in an Arcom enclosure, do no have
the battery link fitted.

The PEGASUS enclosure requires a 5v supply, this is connected via an

It is possible to fit one PC/104 module in the PEGASUS enclosure, spare
locations are included to allow the module to be broken out. These
locations are fitted with blanking plates as standard.
