Transportation
When transporting any module or system, for any reason, it should be packed using anti-static material and

2. Summary
The Adbc8037-CAR is a carrier board for evaluating the Adbc8037 (COM Express CPU Module).
Connected to the Adbc8037 with a stacking connector, this board supplies to the Adbc8037 and interfaces the
rich functions of Adbc8037 with external environment.
The board size is microATX (244mm×244mm). The board is equipped with two ATX power connectors of 24-pin
and 4-pin for power supply.

4.2 Method of installation/removal
The following diagram illustrates removal the mounting of the Adbc8037 to the Adbc8037-CAR.
Please handle the board with ESD measures such as wearing an antistatic bracelet so as not to damage the
device by static electricity.

Installation Procedure
Use the following procedure to install the Adbc8037 onto the Adbc8037-CAR
1. Turn off the power.
2. Make the Adbc8037 matched with the 440pin-connector pair and five spacer securing holes in the Adbc8037-
CAR, and push the Adbc8037 into the Adbc8037-CAR(refer to Figure 3). Make sure the Adbc8037-CAR
connector is properly braced from behind to keep it straight and to insure a good fit between connectors. After
the connectors have been connected completely, make sure that there are no clearances between all the
stacking connectors and the Adbc8037-CAR.
3. Attach the supplied M2.5 x 5mm SEMS screws(5 pcs.) to the Adbc8037-CAR from behind.
Removal Procedure
Use the following procedure to remove the Adbc8037 from the Adbc8037-CAR
1. Turn off the power.
2. Remove the five screws located on the rear of the carrier board that are securing the Adbc8037.
3. Disconnect the Adbc8037 from the Adbc8037-CAR, lifting it upward in a horizontal position.
