Q. Who is the AudioBox GO
interface customer?
A. The AudioBox GO is designed for musicians and recordists
on the move who are looking for an inexpensive and portable
audio interface solution. It’s also great for users with laptop-
based small home studios where desktop real estate is at a
premium. It’s the smallest, lightest interface we make!
Q. What can I connect to
the AudioBox GO?
A. The AudioBox GO supports connections for microphones, line-
level sources, and high-impedance instruments like guitars and
basses. There’s a headphone jack on the front, Main Outputs on
the back for studio monitors, and a USB-C-compatible connector.
Because it’s bus-powered, no power supply is required.
Q. What about audio quality?
AudioBox GO sounds great. It features an XMAX-L Class A solid
state mic preamp that’s well-suited for a wide variety of microphones,
and includes switchable +48 phantom power for condenser mics
and direct boxes, and 50 dB of gain. It’s based on the same lauded
preamps in our StudioLive mixers. AudioBox GO can record at sampling
rates up to 24-bit, 96 kHz, assuring the highest quality possible.
The AudioBox GO is the smallest, lightest, most portable audio
interface PreSonus makes, ideal for musicians and producers
on the move who want to record to a mobile device—but it’s
also great for compact laptop-based home studios! Connect a
professional XLR microphone to the studio-grade XMAX-L preamp
and capture your voice with warmth and clarity. The same convenient combo jack also lets you connect
line-level sources like keyboards and drum machines, and you get a dedicated high-impedance input
for guitars and basses. Wherever or whatever you’re recording, the AudioBox GO has you covered.
The Pitch: (ie, read on if you like making lots of sales.)
Don’t let its size fool you, AudioBox GO has all the connections
you need to connect headphones and professional studio
monitors—so it also excels in laptop-based studio setups
where desk space is a priority. The surprisingly powerful
headphone output also offers a Mix control to easily
blend between software and hardware monitoring. AudioBox GO is USB class-compliant, so
there are no special drivers or applications for you to download and install. And the USB-C®-
compatible connection provides bus power, so there’s also no power supply to worry about.
While the AudioBox GO audio works with virtually all macOS®
and Windows® audio-recording software, it comes with a free
license for PreSonus®’ Studio One® Prime DAW, giving you a
complete recording solution. Studio One is easy to learn and
enables you to compose, record, and produce your masterpiece
without getting distracted by the tools. You also get the Studio Magic Suite with over $1000 USD
of plug-ins, content, and more. And when you’re ready to hit the road, download Capture Duo for
free and enjoy two-track recording straight to iPad, or record to your app of choice on Android.
