Chapter 1 Hardware Installation
1-1 Installation Precautions
The motherboard contains numerous delicate electronic circuits and components which can become
damaged๎€ƒas๎€ƒa๎€ƒresult๎€ƒof๎€ƒelectrostatic๎€ƒdischarge๎€ƒ(ESD).๎€ƒPrior๎€ƒto๎€ƒinstallation,๎€ƒcarefully๎€ƒread๎€ƒthe๎€ƒuser's๎€ƒ
manual and follow these procedures:
โ€ขPrior to installation, make sure the chassis is suitable for the motherboard.
โ€ขPrior๎€ƒto๎€ƒinstallation,๎€ƒdo๎€ƒnot๎€ƒremove๎€ƒor๎€ƒbreak๎€ƒmotherboard๎€ƒS/N๎€ƒ(Serial๎€ƒNumber)๎€ƒsticker๎€ƒor๎€ƒ
warranty sticker provided by your dealer. These stickers are required for warranty validation.
โ€ขAlways remove the AC power by unplugging the power cord from the power outlet before
installing or removing the motherboard or other hardware components.
โ€ขWhen connecting hardware components to the internal connectors on the motherboard, make
sure they are connected tightly and securely.
โ€ขWhen handling the motherboard, avoid touching any metal leads or connectors.
โ€ขIt๎€ƒ is๎€ƒ best๎€ƒ to๎€ƒ wear๎€ƒ an๎€ƒ electrostatic๎€ƒ discharge๎€ƒ (ESD)๎€ƒ wrist๎€ƒ strap๎€ƒ when๎€ƒ handling๎€ƒ electronic๎€ƒ
components๎€ƒsuch๎€ƒas๎€ƒa๎€ƒmotherboard,๎€ƒCPU๎€ƒor๎€ƒmemory.๎€ƒIf๎€ƒyou๎€ƒdo๎€ƒnot๎€ƒhave๎€ƒan๎€ƒESD๎€ƒwrist๎€ƒstrap,๎€ƒ

โ€ขPrior to installing the motherboard, please have it on top of an antistatic pad or within an
electrostatic shielding container.
โ€ขBefore connecting or unplugging the power supply cable from the motherboard, make sure
the power supply has been turned off.
โ€ขBefore turning on the power, make sure the power supply voltage has been set according to
the local voltage standard.
โ€ขBefore using the product, please verify that all cables and power connectors of your hardware
components are connected.
โ€ขTo prevent damage to the motherboard, do not allow screws to come in contact with the
motherboard circuit or its components.
โ€ขMake sure there are no leftover screws or metal components placed on the motherboard or
within the computer casing.
โ€ขDo๎€ƒnot๎€ƒplace๎€ƒthe๎€ƒcomputer๎€ƒsystem๎€ƒon๎€ƒan๎€ƒuneven๎€ƒsurface.
โ€ขDo๎€ƒnot๎€ƒplace๎€ƒthe๎€ƒcomputer๎€ƒsystem๎€ƒin๎€ƒa๎€ƒhigh-temperature๎€ƒor๎€ƒwet๎€ƒenvironment.
โ€ขTurning on the computer power during the installation process can lead to damage to system
components as well as physical harm to the user.
โ€ขIf you are uncertain about any installation steps or have a problem related to the use of the
product,๎€ƒplease๎€ƒconsult๎€ƒa๎€ƒcerti๎‚ฟed๎€ƒcomputer๎€ƒtechnician.
โ€ขIf you use an adapter, extension power cable, or power strip, ensure to consult with its installation
and/or grounding instructions.

With the use of the power connector, the power supply can supply enough stable power to all the components
on๎€ƒthe๎€ƒmotherboard.๎€ƒBefore๎€ƒconnecting๎€ƒthe๎€ƒpower๎€ƒconnector,๎€ƒ๎‚ฟrst๎€ƒmake๎€ƒsure๎€ƒthe๎€ƒpower๎€ƒsupply๎€ƒis๎€ƒturned๎€ƒ

power supply cable to the power connector in the correct orientation.
The 12V power connector mainly supplies power to the CPU. If the 12V power connector is not connected,
the computer will not start.
To meet expansion requirements, it is recommended that a power supply that can withstand high
power๎€ƒconsumption๎€ƒbe๎€ƒused๎€ƒ(500W๎€ƒor๎€ƒgreater).๎€ƒIf๎€ƒa๎€ƒpower๎€ƒsupply๎€ƒis๎€ƒused๎€ƒthat๎€ƒdoes๎€ƒnot๎€ƒprovide๎€ƒthe๎€ƒ
