Functions
Generic I/O functions (data I/O operations that directly access the I/O ports)
- Input
The unit transmits a maximum of 32 channels (< DI-32LN-FIT >), 16 channels (<DIO-1616LN-FIT >, <
DI-16LN-FIT >) or 8 channels (< DIO-0808LN-FIT >) of externally supplied digital signals to a PC that
is connected to it via the LAN. Access to the unit from a PC is performed through the input port. When
an input port is read by the execution of an input command, the buffer gate associated with the input port
is opened, and the digital signals supplied from an external device are fetched in groups. During this
operation, signals that are transmitted to the unit will be [ON (closed): 1, OFF (open): 0].
- Output
The unit writes a maximum of 32 channels (< DO-32LN-FIT >), 16 channels (< DIO-1616LN-FIT >,
< DO-16LN-FIT >) or 8 channels (< DIO-0808LN-FIT >) of digital signals to an external device.
Access to the unit from a PC is performed through the output port. When data is written to the output
port by the execution of an output command, the data is held on the latch circuit that is associated with
the output port. After being electrically isolated by an Optocoupler, the digital signals are transmitted
to the connected external device through transistors. During this operation, signals that are transmitted
to the external device will be [ON (closed): 1, OFF (open): 0].
Output data monitoring function
This function allows you to keep track of the signal data that is being output.

When connecting to the network, be aware of security-related problems. See the examples of Security
measures below and set up the product properly along with the network devices.
[Information security risks]
- Unauthorized access from the outside through a network could cause the system halt, data damage, or
exposure to malware * 1.
- Invaded and used as a stepping stone, a device might attack the others through networks.
(a victim becomes an assailant)
- Information might leak without realizing due to the connection to the network.
- Secondary damages such as harmful rumors, liability in damages, social credibility fall, and
opportunity loss are expected led by the troubles described above.
*1…Malware (Malicious Software) is software that brings harm to a computer system and performs
unintended
operations.
[Security measures - e.g.]
