Use a soft cloth moistened with alcohol to
clean the surface if it was touched
accidentally.

ating instructions in this manual.
Adjust only those controls that are
covered by the instruction manual as
an improper adjustment of other
controls may result in damage and
will often require extensive work by a
qualied technician to restore the
video prodcut to its normal operation.
13) The warranty will be void if the S/N label on
the camera is removed.

NOTES OF USE
(1) Lens mount
For the installation of CS Mount lenses only.
(2) Back Focus adjustment :
A.Back Focus Screw :
Loosen this screw before you use the Focus
Adjustment. To maintain the correct focus
afterwards, ensure that it is tightened.
B.Focus Adjustment :
Adjust this dial to obtain correct back-focus
whilst using a CS mount lens.
(3) Exposure control
Use these holes to connect to a bracket
or to a housing according to your applications.
Two types of lenses are appropriate for this
function :
A.DC IRIS lens :
Set the IRIS slide switch to the DC position and
adjust the LEVEL control in the OSD menu.
B.Video IRIS lens :
Set the IRIS slide switch to the VIDEO position
and adjust the LEVEL and ALC controls on the
lens to obtain a clear picture.
(4) Up button
Use this button to move the cursor upward
or to select different settings in the OSD menu.
(5) Left button
Use this button to move the cursor to the
left or to exit the selected item in the OSD
menu.
(6) Enter button
Use this button to enter the selected item or
to conrm the settings in the OSD menu.
(7) Down button
Use this button to move the cursor
downward or to select different settings in the
OSD menu.
(8) Right button
Use this button to move the cursor to the
right or to enter the selected item in the OSD
menu.

(9) Tripod Stand
Application for mounting the camera onto
the camera holder. Effective for general camera
tripods.

Remote control for the OSD menu and B.C.G

BNC :Used to give out the video signal.
Connected to the video input terminal of a
monitor, switcher, etc. (to be terminated with
75 ohm impedance)
(12) Y/C Output Terminal :
For Y/C video signal output. Commercially
available S-Video output cables can be
employed. (Y=Luminance, 1Vp-p, 75 ohms.
C=Chrominance, 0.3Vp-p<burst>, 75 ohms.)
(13) DC12V/AC24V Power Connector
Connect this connector to the respe-
ctive power source.(DC12V/AC24V model
only)
WARNING: This apparatus must be EARTHED.
(14) AC90V~260V
Connect this connector to the respe-
ctive power source.(AC90~260V model

NOTES OF USE
•CONNECTIONS
RJ-45 connector
BCG Control
When the D/N MODE is set into B.C.G mode,
the camera will change between COLOUR mode
and B/W mode manually according to the RJ-45
B.C.G commands.
A.When the PIN 4 (C/L) terminal is connected
with GND, the camera will change to permanent
colour. Releasing C/L and GND, the camera will
follow AUTO light lux level settings.
B.When the pin 6 (B/W) terminal is connected
with GND, the camera will change to permanent
B/W. Releasing B/W and GND, the camera will
follow AUTO light lux level settings.
*NOTE: SW1 symbolises electronic switching (PIR)
or manual switching (Voltage free contact).

Press the ENTER button to execute
the main menu. The shaded setting area
represents a item and keeps blinking.
• Entering OSD Menu
Press the Enter button for 2 sec
or more and the OSD setup menu will
appear on the monitor.
Up button: Press it to move the cursor
upward.
Down button: Press it to move the
cursor downward.
Enter button: Press it to enter the
selected item or change the settings of
the selected item.
Right button: Press it to change the set-
tings of the selected item.
Left button: Press it to change the setti-
ngs of the selected item.
NOTE: When an item is selected, it will start blinking.
After all the settings have been satised ,
move the cursor to the 'EXIT"
item and press the enter button to exit the
OSD setup menu.
You can also restore the settings to
factory default by moving the cursor to
the "DEFAULT" item, and then pressing the
Enter button.
You can also restore the settings to
what you had set up last time by entering
the OSD menu , moving the cursor to
the "CANCEL" item and then pressing the
Enter button.
Day/Night Mode
Select the Day/ Night (D/N) mode to
control the day/ night mode switching.
Move the cursor to the D/N MODE set
up item. Use the LEFT/ RIGHT button to
select the AUTO, MONO, COLOUR or BCG
mode.
AUTO: When set to this mode, the
camera will change to COLOUR mode
or B/W mode automatically depending
on a subject’s brightness. (When GAIN
is set OFF, the auto function can not be
selected).
MONO: When set to this mode, the
camera will always remain in B/W mode.
COLOUR: When set to this mode, the
camera will always remain in COLOUR
mode.
B.C.G: When set to this mode, the
camera will change to COLOUR mode and
B/W mode manually.
LPR:
LPR( License Plate Recognition):
This function affects the dual CCD trafc series
camera only (limited camera provider). When
you enable this function, the D/N mode will be
controlled by the B/W camera. The SYNC will
be forced to set into the LL mode (AC power).
When D/N mode is set in LPR mode, and
triggered to B/W mode, AGC, Shutter, Trafc,
and Gamma would be controled by camera itself
which couldn't be controled by users manually.

Set the ALC for the Auto IRIS
lens control and the AES for the auto
electronic shutter . Move the cursor to
the EXPOSURE set up item.
ALC:The lens level can be adjusted by
moving the LEVEL cursor on the menu
accordingly.
MENU SETTING
Select D/N LEVEL to set up the
switchover point of brightness from
COLOUR mode to B/W mode under
different lux levels. Move the cursor
to the D/N LEVEL set up item. Use the
LEFT/ RIGHT button to select HIGH, LOW
or MID. This function is only effective
when the D/N mode is set to AUTO.
LOW: The switchover point of brightness
from COLOUR to B/W mode is 1 lux.
MID: The switchover point of brightness
from COLOUR to B/W mode is 2 lux.
HIGH: The switchover point of brightness
from COLOUR to B/W mode is 3 lux.
Set the DELAY time for the D/ N
function. Move the cursor to the D/N
DELAY set up item. Use the LEFT/ RIGHT
button to select 0,5,10,15 or 20 sec for
the delay of the DN mode switching time.
This function is only effective when the
D/N Mode is set to AUTO , LPR.

Select N/D LEVEL to set up the
switchover point of brightness from
COLOUR mode to B/W mode under
different lux levels. Move the cursor
to the N/D LEVEL set up item. Use the
LEFT/ RIGHT button to select HIGH, LOW
or MID. This function is only effective
when the N/D mode is set to AUTO.
LOW: The switchover point of brightness
from B/W to COLOUR mode is 7 lux.
MID: The switchover point of brightness
from B/W to COLOUR mode is 8 lux.
HIGH: The switchover point of brightness
from B/W to COLOUR mode is 9 lux.
• Night Day LEVEL
TRAFFIC 1: It’s applied to the speed from
20 km/hr to 110 km/hr. Please set the
camera opposite the cars.
TRAFFIC 2: It’s applied to a higher auto
speed environment, such as a freeway. The
speed is around 90 km/hr to 180 km/hr.
Please set the camera opposite to the cars.
* Requires adequate lighting when used in
a dark place.
• TRAFFIC
Set TRAFFIC for the TRAFFIC function.
Move the cursor to the TRAFFIC set
up items. Use the LEFT/RIGHT button
to select OFF,TRAFFIC 1, TRAFFIC 2,
TRAFFIC 3 or TRAFFIC 4.
The trafc mode can be applied to
every trafc situation to capture the
number plates of moving cars.

Move the cursor to the BLC set up item.
Use the LEFT/ RIGHT button to choose
OFF, BLC1, BLC2, BLC3, BLC4, BLC5 or
BLC6.
OFF: The BLC function is off.

MENU SETTING
Set the high-speed electronic shutter
(AUTO to 1/100K sec). Move the cursor to
the SHUTTER set up item. Use the LEFT/
RIGHT button and choose the shutter
speed from 1/50 to 1/100K for ALC mode
only. The AES mode will automatically
switch the shutter speed to AUTO.
Selection of GAIN: (NORMAL/
TURBO/ OFF). Move the cursor to the
GAIN set up item. Use the LEFT/ RIGHT
button to choose NORMAL, TURBO OFF,or
Gain.
NORMAL: Standard position, GAIN=24dB
TURBO: High-sensitivity position, GAIN=
30dB.
Move the cursor to the SYNC set
up item. Use the LEFT/ RIGHT button
to choose INT or LL. This function only
works on AC models.
INT: The camera is in the internal SYNC
mode.
LL: The camera is in the line lock mode,
you can adjust the phase angle from 0 ~
300 deg accordingly. The default is 0 deg.
NOTE: For DC models, the SYNC will be in INT
mode automatically.

TRAFFIC 3: It’s applied to the speed
from 20 km/hr to 110 km/hr. Please set
the camera obliquely in front of the cars.
* The DAY/NIGHT mode may be hard
to switch at cloudy day or rainy days
while using this mode. Please try to set
a higher ALC level . If the camera sets in
shadow , please use the BLC function and
select the dark area to solve this issue.
TRAFFIC 4: It’s applied to parking areas.
The auto speed is around 0 km/hr to 20
km/hr. Please set the camera opposite
the cars.

Max 8 blocks can be set on the
screen. Move the cursor to the PRIVACY
ZONE set up item. Press ENTER to get
into the submenu. In the submenu, the
user can select ON or OFF of the privacy
zoneand set up to 8 blocks on any
position of the screen.
Select Blemish compensation, Chroma,
Camera Text. Move the cursor to the
OPTION set up item. Press the ENTER
button (Center) to view the OPTION
MENU.
BLEMISH DET: Make sure that the
lens is completely covered (by a lens
cap or a lens mount cap). Press the
ENTER button once (Center) on the OSD
control. “<SET>” will become blemish.
“WAITING”. After waiting is completed,
the white blemish will be removed.
CHROMA: Use the LEFT/ RIGHT button
to choose from 1 to 9.

Select and set the white balance
system (ATW2, ATW1 and manual
mode). Move the cursor to the WHITE
BAL set up item. Use the LEFT/ RIGHT
button.
ATW1: The auto trace white balance
algorithm is designed to implement a
perfect colour reproduction. The colour
temperature range is 2600°K-6500°K
ATW2: The auto trace white balance
algorithm is designed to implement a
perfect colour reproduction. The colour
temperature range is 2500°K-9500°K.
MANUAL MODE: Move to “R:15 B:15”
when WHITE BAL is highlighted by
pressing the LEFT/RIGHT button. Then
press the Enter (Center) button, followed
by the UP/DOWN button to adjust to your
desired value of Red and Blue.
0.45 or 1 can be selected. Move
the cursor to the GAMMA set up item.
Generally, the default value 0.45 is used
for CCTV monitors. For image processing
purpose 1 can be selected.
Select the picture sharpness. (LOW,
MID, HIGH). Move the cursor to the
APERTURE set up item. Use the LEFT/
RIGHT button, to choose HIGH, MID or
LOW.
Mirror function. Move the cursor to
the MIRROR set up item. Use the LEFT/
RIGHT button to choose ON or OFF.

CAMERA TEXT: Use ENTER to get into
the submenu. When exiting the OSD
menu, the text will be shown on the
display. You can move the TEXT position
