read these instructions completely.

Thank you very much for purchasing the Panasonic Wide Plasma Display Mobile

stand.

Installation work should only be carried out by a qualified technician.

•

If the stand is installed incorrectly, the display may fan down and personal injury may result.

Precautions with regard to setting up

CAUTION

Do not install in places which are subject to humidity, dust, oil fumes, water vapour or

excessive heat.

• These can have adverse effects on Wide Plasma Display operation, and fire or electric shocks

may result.

Two people are required to install and remove the display.

• If two people are not present, the display may be dropped, and personal injury may result.

Maintain a space of at least 10 cm (3

15

/16 in.) at the top, bottom, sides and rear of the

display.

• The display has air outlet holes at the top and air intake holes at the bottom and rear. These

holes must not be covered, otherwise fire may result.

Do not place weight of over 20 kg (44.09 lbs) on the shelf panel.

• Otherwise the display may fall down and become damaged, and personal injury may result.

Do not climb up onto the stand or use it as a step. (Children should not be allowed to

climb on this stand.)

• The stand may fall over or break, and personal injury may result.

Do not use the stand if it should become bent or cracked.

• If the stand is used in such a condition, it may fall over or break, and personal injury may result.

Contact your nearest Panasonic Dealer immediately.

Set up on a stable, Ievel surface.

• If this is not done, the unit may fall over and become damaged, and personal injury may result.

• The casters are provided with a locking mechanism, so be sure to lock the casters during

setting up.

During setting-up, make sure than all screws are securely tightened.

• If sufficient care is not taken to ensure screws are properly tightened during assembly, the

pedestal will not be strong enough to support the Wide Plasma Display, and it might fall over

and become damaged, and personal injury may result.

Do not lubricate the casters.

• The casters may crack or become damaged, and the display may fall down and become

damaged, and personal injury may result.

Unlock the casters when moving the display.

• Otherwise the display may fall down and become damaged, and personal injury may result.

Notes regarding setting-up location

(usage location)

•

In order to ensure correct, problem-free operation of the Wide Plasma Display, do not

install the Display in any of the following places.

• Places which are next to sprinklers or sensors

• Places which are subject to vibration or shocks

• Places which are close to high-voltage wires or electric motors

• Places in direct contact with air from heaters

•

Insert the power cord plug for the Wide Plasma Display into a wall outlet which is close

and easily accessible.

•

Provide adequate ventilation so that the temperature around the display does not rise

above 40°C (104F°). If there is insufficient movement of the air inside display, heat may

build up inside the display, and fire may result.

Installation procedure

• When installing the stand, provisionally tighten all

bolts and screws first, and then tighten them fully

when assembly is complete.

• Use a screw driver with a long shaft.

Note

• Select a horizontal and stable location for carrying

out assembly.

Note

Insert the holder into the supports, and

secure it in four places using the

M5-15 screws.

Insert the supports into the stand base,

and then secure them from the bottom

using the four M8 bolts.

Pass the shelf over the supports, and

then secure the shelf in four places

using the M6 screws and spring

washers.

Installation procedure

Insert the two projections on the

stand into the two holes in the base

of the display as shown in the

illustration at left.

Insert and tighten the four M5-30

screws, with two screws each at the

left and right.

2. Prepare the Wide Plasma Display.

Display unit

Cloth or similar

Remove the screws and covers and keep

them for possible future use.

*The screws may be used again if the

installation method is changed to the

waIl-stand method, so keep them in a

safe place so that they do not get lost.

• Spread a clean cloth or similar material over a level floor or base, and place the display unit on it face down.

• Lock the casters before installing the display.

4. Adjust the height of the shelf if required.

The height of the shelf can be adjusted

to a height of either 35 cm (13

/32 in.)

from the floor or 50 cm (19

/16 in.) from

the floor.

Use the following procedure to adjust

the height of the shelf if required.

Remove the screws which secure

the shelf to the supports.

Move the shelf to the required

height, and then secure it by

tightening the screws.

5. Organising the wiring

Insert the accessory cable straps into

the appropriate cable strap mounting

holes in the rear of the support.

Bring together the input cables which

are connected to the terminals at the

bottom of the Wide Plasma Display

and secure them with the cable straps.
