• Do not leave the appliance exposed to
the elements (rain, sun, ice, etc.).
• Do not use or let any part of the
appliance come into contact or near hot
surfaces (kitchen gas or electric hobs or
ovens).
• Do not use detergents or abrasive
sponges to clean the appliance.
• Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the
handles.
• Do not let the cable come into contact
with the hot parts of the appliance.
• The user must not leave the fondue
unattended whilst in use.
• Never turn the fondue on when empty.
• Before turning on the fondue, make
sure that there are no flammable
objects near or above the appliance.
For example, curtains, wallpaper,
clothing, kitchen cloths, etc.
• In the event of fire, never try to put the
flames out with water. Smother the
flames with a damp cloth.
• Do not put any hot ingredients into
the pot. You can use the fondue for
reheating.
• The fondue pot should only be used
with the base of this appliance. If you
use the fondue pot with another heat
source, this may damage the coating
and the handles on the pot.
• Avoid contact with steam coming from
the lid of the fondue.
• Do not use the pot with a heat source
other than the base provided with the
fondue.
• Make sure that the level of the
ingredients is always between the Max
and Min marks.
• Do not eat food directly off the forks;
the tips are very sharp and may cut
you.
• Keep the fondue and the forks well out
of reach of children.
• Do not put frozen food into the pot
when the liquid is hot.
• Always use the fondue forks to put the
food into or take it out of the pot.
• Do not drop food into the liquid; if it
splashes you may burn yourself.
4. BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST
TIME
Before using the fondue for the first time,
read all the instructions carefully and
clean the lid (1), the fondue pot (2) and
the forks (8) with a soft sponge and soapy
water. Rinse and dry all the components
thoroughly.
• As the metal pieces will be hot and
the tips of the forks are very sharp, be
careful not to accidentally burn or cut
yourself.
• Never use knives or other sharp objects
to clean the fondue.
• When the appliance is in use it reaches
very high temperatures and there is
a danger of burning yourself. Do not
touch the hot surfaces.
• Do not move the appliance whilst it is
hot. After use, unplug the appliance and
wait until it cools down.
• Store the forks out of reach of children.
5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the fondue pot (2) onto a dry
and stable surface and fill it with the
ingredients (oil, pieces of cheese or
chocolate, depending on the recipe) until
the level of the ingredients is between
the Max and Min marks indicated on the
inside of the pot.
Important: Never turn the fondue on
when empty. The ingredients must
always be between the Max and Min
levels. Otherwise, there may be a risk of
fire and personal injury.
2. Place the base (5) onto a dry, stable,
level and heat-resistant surface. Check
that the temperature control (7) is in the
MIN position.
3. Place the fondue pot (2) with the lid (1)
in place, on top of the hot plate (4) and
plug in the appliance.
