Remote control battery
The remote control comes with a CR2025 3V lithium button cell fully installed.
The battery should normally last for about one year, depending on frequency
of usage of the remote control.
To use the remote control, pull out the plastic tab that separates the
battery from the contacts inside the compartment.
If the remote control unit is no longer working even when it is operated
near the unit, you will need to replace the battery with a new battery of the
same type. Pull out the battery
tray and remove the old battery.
Insert a fresh CR2025 button
cell with the (+) marking facing
upwards. Then push the tray with
the battery back into the unit.
WARNING!
Keep batteries out of reach of children. Swallowing may
lead to serious injury or death in as little as 2 hours due
to internal burns. If swallowed, go straight to a hospital
emergency room. Dispose of used batteries immediately.
If the remote is not used for an extended period of time, remove the
battery to prevent possible damage from battery leakage and corrosion.
Do not attempt to short-circuit, disassemble or throw batteries into a fire.
Dispose of batteries promptly and properly, observing any local
hazardous waste regulations. Do not burn or bury them.
Using the remote control
Do not use the remote control while driving.
Point the remote control directly towards the remote control sensor at
the front of the system. Make sure no obstacles are blocking its path.
The remote control will not operate if its path is blocked. The operating
distance may vary depending on the brightness of the ambient light.
Handle the remote control with care. Do not drop, apply shock or step on
the remote control. Do not spill water on the unit.
If you do not intend to use the remote control for an extended period of
time, remove the batteries to prevent possible leakage and corrosion.

WARNING: This unit must be installed by a professional
technician only or the warranty will be void.
Installation precautions
Do not drill a hole into the engine compartment to connect the yellow cable
of the display unit to the vehicle battery. Engine vibration may eventually
cause the insulation to fail at the point where the wire passes from the
passenger compartment into the engine compartment. Take extra care in
securing the wire at this point.
Make sure that cables will not interfere with moving parts of the vehicle,
such as the shift lever, parking brake or seat sliding mechanism.
This unit cannot be installed in a vehicle without ACC (accessory) position
on the ignition switch.
Use this unit with a 12V battery and negative grounding only. Failure to do
so may result in a fire or malfunction.
To prevent a short circuit, overheating or malfunction, be sure to follow the
directions below:
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before installation.
* Secure the wiring with cable clamps or adhesive tape. Wrap adhesive
tape around wiring that comes into contact with metal parts to protect
the wiring.
* Place all cables away from moving parts, such as the shift lever and seat
rails.
* Place all cables away from hot places, such as near the heater outlet.
* Do not connect the yellow cable to the battery by passing it through the
hole into the engine compartment.
* Cover any disconnected cable connectors with insulating tape.
* Do not shorten any cables.
* Never cut the insulation of the power cable of this unit in order to share
the power with other devices. The current capacity of the cable is
limited.
* Use a fuse of the rating prescribed.
* Never wire the negative speaker cable directly to ground.
* Never band together negative cables of multiple speakers.
