TANT
This manual and the appliance
itself provide important safety
warnings, to be read and ob-
served at all times.
This is the safety alert symbol.
This symbol alerts you to po-
tential hazards that can kill or
hurt you and others.
All safety messages will follow
the safety alert symbol or the
wordDANGER” or “WARN-
ING.” These words mean:

tion which, if not avoided, will
cause serious injury.

supervision.
Do not touch the oven during
pyrolisis cycle. Keep childern
away from the oven during the
pyrolisys cycle. Excess spill-
age must be removed from
the oven cavity before clean-
ing cycle (only for ovens with
Pyrolysis function).
The appliance is designed sole-
ly for domestic use for cooking
food. No other use is permitted
(e.g. heating rooms).
The appliance and its acces-
sible parts become hot during
use. Care should be taken to
avoid touching heating ele-
ments.
During and after use, do not
touch the heating elements
or interior surface of the ap-
pliance - risk of burns. Do not
allow the appliance to come
in contact with cloths or other
ammable materials until all
the components have cooled
down completely.
Overheated oils and fats catch
re easily. Always remain vigi-
lant when cooking foods rich
in fat, oil or alcohol (e.g. rum,
cognac, wine).
Never leave the appliance un-
attended during food drying.
Do not heat or cook with
sealed jars or containers in the
appliance.
The pressure that builds up
inside might cause them to
explode, damaging the appli-
ance.

If alcoholic beverages are used
when cooking foods (e.g. rum,
cognac, wine), remember that
alcohol evaporates at high
temperatures. As a result, there
is a risk that vapours released
by the alcohol catch re if com-
ing in contact with the electri-
cal heating element.
Use oven gloves to remove
pans and accessories, taking
care not to touch the heating
elements.
At the end of cooking, exercise
caution when opening the
door, by letting the hot air or
steam exit gradually before ac-
cessing the appliance.
When the door is shut, hot air
is vented from the opening
above the control panel. Do
not obstruct it.
If the appliance is suitable for
probe usage, Only use the tem-
perature probe recommended
for this oven.
During and after the pyrolysis
cycle, the animals have to be
kept away from the area of the
appliance location (only for
ovens with Pyrolysis function).
INTENDED USE
OF THE PRODUCT
This appliance is designed
solely for domestic usage. To
aim the appliance as profes-
sional use is forbidden. The
manufacturer declines all
responsibility for innapropiate
use or incorrect setting of the
controls.
CAUTION: The appliance is not
intended to be operated by
means of an external timer or
separate remote control sys-
tem.
Do not use the appliance out-
doors.
Do not store explosive or
ammable substances such as
aerosol cans and do not place
or use gasoline or other am-
mable materials in or near the
appliance: a re may break out
if the appliance is inadvertently
switched on.
INSTALLATION
Installation and repairs must
be carried out by a qualied
technician, in compliance with
the manufacturer’s instructions
and local safety regulations. Do
not repair or replace any part
of the appliance unless speci-
cally stated in the user manual.
Children should not perform
installation operations. Keep
children away during installa-
tion of the appliance. Keep the
packaging materials (plastic
bags, polystyrene parts, etc.)
out of reach of children, during
and after the installation of the
appliance.
Use protective gloves to per-
form all unpacking and instal-
lation operations.
After unpacking the appliance,
make sure that it has not been
damaged during transport. In
the event of problems, con-
tact the dealer or your nearest

After installation, the bot-
tom of the appliance must no
longer be accessible.
For correct appliance opera-
tion, do not obstruct the mini-
mum gap between the work-
top and the upper edge of the
oven.
ELECTRICAL WARNINGS
Make sure the voltage speci-
ed on the rating plate corre-
sponds to that of your home.
The rating plate is on the front
edge of the oven (visible when
the door is open).
For installation to comply with
current safety regulations, an
omnipolar switch with mini-
mum contact gap of 3mm is
required.

Socket outlet / plug (valid for
both countries)
If the tted plug is not suitable
for your socket outlet, please
contact After-sales Service for
further instruction. Please do
not attempt to change plug
yourself. This procedure needs
to be carried out by a qualied
technician in compliance with
the manufactures instructions
and current standard safety
regulations.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The appliance must be discon-
nected from the power supply
before carrying out any clean-
ing or maintenance operation.
Use protective gloves for clean-
ing and maintenace opera-
tions.
Ensure that the appliance is
switched o before replacing
the lamp to avoid the possibil-
ity of electric shock.
Never use steam cleaning
equipment.
Do not use harsh abrasive
cleaners or sharp metal scrap-
ers to clean the appliance door
glass since they can scratch the
surface, which may result in
shattering of the glass.
Ensure the appliance is cooled
down before carrying out any
cleaning or mainteinance op-
eration.
If the oven is installed below a
hob, make sure that all burn-
ers or electric hotplates are
switched o during the self-
cleaning (pyrolysis) function.
Remove all accessories before
running the pyrolysis function
(also the lateral grids).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
FOR GREAT BRITAIN AND
IRELAND ONLY
Fuse replacement.
If the mains lead of this appli-
ance is tted with a BS 1363A
13amp fused plug, to change
a fuse in this type of plug use
an A .S .T .A . approved fuse to
BS 1362 type and proceed as
follows:
1. Remove the fuse cover (A)
and fuse(B).
2. Fit replacement 13A fuse into
fuse cover.
3. Ret both into plug.
Important:
The fuse cover must be retted
when changing a fuse and if
the fuse cover is lost, the plug

not be used until a correct
replacement is tted. Correct
replacement are identied by
the colour insert or the colour
embossed in words on the
base of the plug. Replacement
fuse covers are available from
your local electrical store .
For the Republic of Ireland
only
The information given in
respect of Great Britain will fre-
quently apply, but a third type
of plug and socket is also used,
the 2-pin, side earth type.
Regulation require that the ap-
pliance is earthed.
For appliances with tted plug,
if the plug is not suitable for
you socket outlet, contact a
qualied technician.
Do not use extension leads,
multiple sockets or adapters.
Do not connect the appliance
to a socket which can be oper-
ated by remote control.
The power cable must be long
enough for connecting the ap-
pliance, once tted in its hous-
ing, to the main power supply.
Do not pull the power supply
cable.
If the power cable is damaged
it must be replaced with an
identical one. The power cable
must only be replaced by a
qualied technician in compli-
ance with the manufacturer
instruction and current safety
regulations. Contact an author-
ized service center.
In case of replacement of
power cable, use only follow-
ing type(s): H05 RR-F 3 x 1.5

ENERGY SAVING TIPS
Only preheat the oven if speci-
ed in the cooking table or
your recipe.
Use dark lacquered or enam-
elled baking moduls as they
absorb heat far better.
Switch the oven o 10/15
minutes before the set cook-
ing time. Food requiring pro-
longed cooking will continue
to cook even once the oven is
switched o.

REMOVE AND REINSTALL
THE LATERAL GRIDS
1. The lateral grids can be equipped with two
xing screws for optimum stability.
2. Remove the screws on both sides with the aid
of a coin or a tool.
3. To remove the grids, lift them up (1) and turn
them out (2) as shown.

4. To reinstall the lateral grids, hang the upper
part into both highest holes located in the oven
cavity.
5. Approach the lateral grids to the cavity wall
while keep on lifting up them.
6. Drop the lateral grids in the lower holes.
Ret the xing screws.

The sliding shelves can be mounted on any level.

MOUNTING THE
SLIDING SHELVES
1. Remove the lateral grilles as indicated above.
2. Remove the plastic protection from the sliding
shelves.
3. Hook the upper clip of the slider and let it slide
on the lateral grid until it stops at the rear side, then
lower in position the other clip.
4. Press the lower part of the clip rmly against
the holder grill until they click into place. Make sure,
the telescopic runners can move freely to the front
of the oven.
The partial extension and full extension sliding shelves facilitate
the handling of wire shelves and trays.

AUTOMATIC OVEN CLEANIG - PYRO
To burn o stains produced during cooking
with an extremely high temperature cycle
(approx. 500°). Two auto-cleaning cycles are
available: a shorter cycle (Pyro Express) and a
complete cycle (Pyro). The complete cycle
is best used only in the case of heavily stained
ovens, while the shorter cycle
should be used at regular intervals.
CONVECTION BAKE
To cook meat or pies (savoury or sweet) with
liquid lling (for one shelf only).
Use 3rd shelf.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
SETTINGS
Setting the display (language, time,
brightness, volume of acoustic signal, energy
saving function).
RECIPES
To select between 30 dierent pre-dened
recipes (see the booklet which can be
downloaded from Whirlpool website
http://docs.whirlpool.eu). The oven
automatically sets the optimum cooking
temperature, function and time.
It is important to follow the instructions given
in the recipe book regarding preparation,
accessories and which oven shelf to use.
MEAT PROBE RECIPES
To select 7 optimal cooking modes
for dierent types of meat. The oven
automatically sets the nal core temperature
of the meat selected and the ideal oven
temperature for cooking. These values are
given in the specic cooking table provided
at page 31, however they can be changed
manually within a pre-set range.
For correct insertion and use of the probe,
follow the instruction given in the relative
paragraph.
Position the meat on the 3rd shelf, using an
oven tray placed on the wire shelf or the drip
tray alone.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
During cooking, the oven door can be
opened to check the meat or add stock, but
take care not to move the probe.
OFF
To stop cooking and switch o the oven.
CONVENTIONAL
To cook any kind of dish (for one shelf only).
Use the 3rd shelf.
To cook pizza, savoury pies and sweets with
liquid llings, use the 1st or 2nd shelf.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
GRILL
To grill steak, kebabs, sausages and toast
bread or to cook vegetables au gratin.
Place food on the 4th or 5th shelf.
When grilling meat, use the drip tray to
collect the cooking juices. Position it on the
3rd/4th shelf, adding approximately half a
litre of water.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
During cooking the oven door must remain
closed.
TURBO GRILL
To roast large joints of meat (legs, roast
beef, chickens). Position the food on the
middle shelves. Use the drip tray to collect
the cooking juices. Position it on the
1st/2nd shelf, adding approximately half a
litre of water.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
During cooking the oven door must
remain closed.
With this function you can also use the
turnspit, if provided.
FORCED AIR
To cook a variety of food requiring the same
cooking temperature on several shelves
(maximum three) at the same time (e.g. sh,
vegetables, cakes). This function can be used
to cook dierent foods without odours being
transferred from one food to another.
Use the 2nd shelf to cook on one shelf only,
the 1st and 4th to cook on two shelves, and
the 1st, 3rd and 5th to cook on three shelves.
The oven does not have to be preheated.

SHORTCUTS
To directly access the 10 most used functions.
SPECIALS FUNCTIONS
DEFROST
To speed up defrosting of food.
Place food on the middle shelf.
Leave food in its packaging in order to
prevent it from drying out on the outside.
KEEP WARM
For keeping just-cooked food hot and
crisp (e.g: meat, fried food or ans).
Place food on the middle shelf.
The function will not activate if the
temperature in the oven is above 65°C.
RISING
For optimal proving of sweet or savoury
dough.
Place the dough on the 2nd shelf.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
To safeguard the quality of proving, do
not activate the function if the oven is still
hot after a cooking cycle.
CONVENIENCE
To cook ready meals kept at room
temperature or from refrigerated cabinets
(biscuits, liquid cake mixtures, muns,
rst courses and bakery products).
This function gently cooks all food quickly;
it can also be used to reheat cooked food.
Follow the instructions on the food
packaging.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
MAXI COOKING
To cook large joints of meat (above 2.5 kg).
Use the 1st or 2rd shelves, depending on
the size of the joint.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
It is advisable to turn the meat over during
cooking, to obtain even browning on both
sides. It is preferable to baste the meat
every now and again so that it does not
become too dry.
FROZEN FOOD
Lasagne
Pizza
Strudel
French Fries
Bread
The function automatically selects the
ideal cooking temperature and mode for 5
dierent types of ready frozen food.
Use the 2nd or 3rd shelf.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
Custom
The temperature can be set from 50 to 250°C
to cook other types of product.
FAST PREHEATING
To preheat rapidly the oven.
ECO FORCED AIR
To cook stued roasts and meat in pieces on
one shelf. This function uses discontinuous,
delicate fan assistance, which prevents
excessive drying of foods.
This function uses a delicate fan assistance
(the fan does not run continually). In this ECO
function the light remains o during cooking
and can be temporarily switched on again by
pressing the conrm button.
In order to maximize energy eciency, it
is advisable not to open the door during
cooking.
It is advisable to use 3rd level.
The oven does not have to be preheated.
