1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING

When installing the unit, please read this manual thoroughly.
Before installation, be sure that all sources of power have
been shut off . There is a danger of electric shock.
Do not turn on the power until all installation works is
complete.
Installation work must be performed in accordance with
national wiring standards by authorized personnel only.
Discharge the static electricity before the installation.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous
situation that may result in minor or
moderate injury or damage to property.
Do not pull on the connectors with too much force.
2. ABOUT THIS UNIT
2.1. General
• This box is for installing the External input and output
PCB (option) to the cassette type air conditioner. Before
installing, please have the installation manual of the indoor
unit on hand for detailed information.
2.2. Parts and accessories
• The following installation parts are supplied.

3. INSTALLATION WORK
3.1. Preparation of the External input and
output PCB (option)
1) Fix the spacers (4 pcs) and connector with wire supplied with
the External input and output PCB (option).

The wire with connector included in UTY-XCSX is not used.
3.2.
Installing the PCB box to the indoor unit
1) Use three screws to fi x the PCB box.

2) Attach the External input and output PCB, spacer to the PCB
box.

3) Fix the wire with connector to the indoor unit as shown.
After wiring the external devices (locally purchased), fi x each
wire to the cable tie holder with a cable tie (accessory).
Connect the cable (accessory) to the external input and
output PCB, pass it through behind the fan, to the other side
of the main unit.

4) Place the PCB cover, and fi x it with 2 screws.

3.3.
Connecting to the indoor unit main PCB
Attach the wire to the indoor unit main PCB. Refer to the
indoor unit installation manual.

Note:
To ease the work when connecting the wire to the main PCB,
detach the Remote controller PCB as shown in the fi gure.
After the work is complete, be sure to replace it to its original
position.
