1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING

When installing the unit, please read this manual thoroughly.
Before installation, be sure that all sources of power have been
shut o . There is a danger of electric shock.
Do not turn on the power until all installation works is complete.
Installation work must be performed in accordance with national
wiring standards by authorized personnel only.
Discharge the static electricity before the installation.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
that may result in minor or moderate injury or
damage to property.
Do not pull on the connectors with too much force.
2. ABOUT THIS UNIT
2.1. General
• This box is for installing the External input and output PCB
(option) to the compact cassette, mini duct, and slim duct type air
conditioner. Before installing, please have the installation manual
of the indoor unit on hand for detailed information.
2.2. Parts and accessories
• The following installation parts are supplied.

3. INSTALLATION WORK
3.1.
Installation conditions
1) Installing direction
This product can be installed in the following direction.
Prohibited
To prevent water from entering through
the cable, do not install this product in the
direction shown in the following figure.
2) Installing position
Install this product in a position where the supplied connecting
cable 2200 mm (7 ft) can reach.

3.2. Preparation of the External input and
output PCB (option)
1) Fix the spacers (4 pcs) and connector with wire supplied with the
External input and output PCB (option).

The wire with connector included in UTY-XCSX is not used.
3.3. Installing the PCB box
WARNING
Install at a place that can withstand the weight of the unit and install
positively so that the unit will not topple or fall and add the wooden
material for reinforce if necessary.
CAUTION
Tightening the mounting screws too tight will damage the body of
this unit.
Be careful so that the cover does not fall after the cover screws are
removed. Otherwise, injury could result.

3.4.
Installing the External input and output PCB
1) Attach the External input and output PCB, spacer to the PCB box.

2) After wiring the external devices (locally purchased), x each wire
to the cable tie holder with a cable tie (accessories).

3) Place the PCB box cover, and x it with 2 screws (accessories).

3.5.
Connecting to the indoor unit main PCB
Attach the wire to CN65 or CN75 of the indoor unit main PCB. Refer
to the indoor unit installation manual.
When using the WLAN adapter and this unit at the same time,
connect the cable of this unit to CN65.
NOTE:
After the work is complete, be sure to replace it to its original state.
