NTRODUCTION
Thank you fo r purchasing th e Pyle view In verter . The Pyle view Inverte r will power a wide v ariety of
house hold or electronic app liance reliabl y from the 12V volt in your v ehicle or boat ,or dir ectly f rom a
12vol t batte ry to serve . S uch as laptop computers, digi tal /vi deo cam era , Mp3 playe r ,cell phones
and m ore .
Pleas e pay y our special att ention to all CAUTION and WARN ING statements. Improp er use of this
inver ter can cause personne l injur y, propert y damage
-WARNING
•Shoc k Hazar d. Keep away fr om chil dren.
•The PNVS4 Generates the s ame pot entiall y lethal AC power as nor mal household w all out let. Treat
it wi th the same respect th at You would do to any AC ou tlet.
•The PNVS4 i s designed for indoor use onl y and not recom mended for use with inductive loads,
such as flor escent lamps, c ompress ors & p umps.
•Ensu re to m aintain at leas t 2-inc h (5cm) air space on a ll side s of th is inverter, as i ts hous ing may
becam e uncom fortably warm, reachin g 140 F (60 C) under e xtended high p ower.
•Disc onnect power to the in verter when it is not in use.
•Do n ot expo se this inverte r to wa ter, rain, snow o r spray.
•Do n ot inse rt foreign obje cts int o this inverter’s AC ou tlets.
•Do n ot leav e this inverter or any device operating unat tended, to avo id property dam age pot entiall y.
•Do n ot use or place this i nverter near f lammable materi als or any pla ces, which accu mulate
flamm able fu mes.
•Do n ot conn ect this invert er to p ower ut ility AC d istribu tion wi ring under any circums tance.
•Chec k the i nput and output connec tors of this inverter are tig ht regu larly. The loose connectio ns can
gener ate har mful heat and / of dama ge the inverter or pow er sour ce.
-CAUTION
•Do n ot conn ect any AC produc t to th is inverter, whos e neutr al conductor is connec ted to ground.
•Do n ot expo se this inverte r tempe rature in excess of 10 0 F(40 C).
•This invert er must be conn ected o nly to batteries with a norma l outpu t voltage of 12 Volts. Th is unit
will not ope rate from a 6-Vol t batte ry and will be damaged if it is connected to a 24-Vol t battery.
OPERATION
-CAUT ION: DO NOT USE THIS IN VERTER W ITH THE FOLLOWING
•Smal l batte ry operated app liances such a s RECHARGEABLE FLASHLI GHTS, S OME RECHARGE-
ABLE SHAVERS an d NIGHT LIGHTS that are plugge d direc tly into as REC EPTACLE TO
RECHA RGE.
•BATTERY CHARGES used wi th cert ain power tool battery packs. These c hargers will have a
WARNING LABEL s tating that DAN GEROUS VOLTAGE ARE PRESENT AT THE CHA RGERS
BATTERY TE RMINALS.
-WARNING:
Batte ries co ntain corrosive materi als and present an Ene rgy Haz ard. To prevent irri tation and bur ns,
wear protect ive wear and cl othing, and ta ke special care to ens ure no metal tools or persona l objec ts
conta ct the battery termina ls.
Using the inverter
A .Plug the Pyle view inverte r into your veh icle’s lighter socket. If the socket is too large, adjust the
negat ive con nectors using t he slid e contr ol to ensure a snug fi t. The ( green) LED will light up.
B. Pl ug an AC product into th e three -prong AC recepta cle and turn it on. Ensure yo ur prod uct draws
150wa tts or less of continu ous AC po wer. To avoid d ischarg ing the vehicle batter y, always remove
the i nverter from the light er sock et when not in use.
-The LED indicators
A. GR EEN: It indicates the inverte r is po wer on,
B. B. GREEN FAILS TO LI GHT: It indi cates t he inverter shutdown c aused b y low v oltage, overloa d,
or ex cessive temperature.
CAUTION:
•Do n ot conn ect to AC DISTRIB UTION W IRING. T he inverter is designe d for c onnection direc tly to
stand ard ele ctrical and ele ctronic equipm ent.
•Do n ot conn ect the inverte r to ho usehold or RV AC distribu tion wi ring.
•Do n ot conn ect the inverte r to an y AC load circuit in whi ch the neutral conduct or is c onnecte d to
groun d (eart h) or to the ne gative of DC ( battery) source .
BATTERY OP ERATING TIME
The v ehicle batteries are n ot inte nded fo r constant deep discha rge, th ey are designed to pro vide
brief period s of very high current needed for engine sta rting. It is s trongly recomme nded to start the
vehic le ever y hour or two t o recha rge bat tery before its capaci ty drop s too low. Operat ing the
inver ter fro m a vehicle bat tery un til the low voltage sh utdown will sh orten the batte ry’s lif e.
The i nverter can operate wh ether o r not t he vehicle’s engine is running , but t he normal volta ge drop
that occurs during starting may tr igger t he inverter’s low vol tage shutdown f eature.
The u se of a deep discharge batter y is st rongly advised for lon ger ope rating times. I ts capa city
shoul d be se lected based on the de sired o perating time.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
SUGGESTION
AC product connected is ra ted at more than
150
watts; overload shutdown occurs
Use product with a power r ating of less than
150
watts
Peak power has caused overload shutdo wn even
though AC pro duct connected is rated at less than
150 watts
Product exceeds inverter’s surge capability. Use a
product with peak power of less than 300W
Lighter socket or 12 volt outlet may require ignition
to be switched on
Turn ignition key to accessory position
Poor contact with lighter socket or 12 volt outlet
Press inverter firmly into the lighter socket. Make
sure socket is clean.
Vehicle battery is discharged
