Initial use
1. Slide the locking tab of the battery compartment lid on the underside of
the device downwards. Remove the battery compartment lid.
2. Insert the supplied batteries, as shown on the base of the battery
compartment. Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-) of the batteries.
3. Reinsert the battery compartment lid. Ensure that the lid audibly locks in.
Weighing
Attention - material damage
- Do not overload the scale. Pay attention to the "Technical data".
Place only items for weighing on the scale.
- Set up the scale carefully, in order to avoid hard impact on the
sensors/feet and thereby avoid damage.
- The scale can measure in various units of measurement. Prior to
weighing, check whether the required unit of measurement is set.
The selection is described in step 3.
- In the g unit of measurement, when 5999 g is exceeded, the
weight is automatically displayed in kilograms (e.g. 10,500 kg).
The scale can display the weight in kilograms (kg), grams (g) or in (British)
pounds and ounces (lb:oz).
1. Place the scale on a sturdy, level surface.
2. Switch the scale on by pressing the ON/OFF/TARE button.
After a few seconds, depending on the set unit of measurement, 0 g,
0.000 kg or 0: 0.0 lb:oz is displayed. The scale is calibrated.
3. Repeatedly press MODE until the required unit of measurement appears
in the display. The scale is ready.
4. If you intend to weigh the weighing goods in a container, place the
container on the weighing surface without any contents.
5. Press the ON/OFF/TARE button again.
In the display, depending on the set unit of measurement, 0 g, 0.000 kg
or 0: 0.0 lb:oz is displayed.
6. Place the weighing goods into the container/lay them onto the weighing
surface.
The measured weight is displayed.
7. Read off the value and take away the measured weight.
