Removal of the control spool spring
1. Clean the external surfaces of the pump.
2. Remove the control spool bore plug (item B016)
with a 5/16 in internal hex wrench.
3. Remove the control spool bias spring (item D91).
Installing the Upgrade Bias Spring
4. Assemble the spring guide to one end of the
upgrade spring (item D91).
5. Install the spring and guide assembly into the
control spool bore noting proper orientation.
6. Install the new control spool bore plug (item
D032) using a 7/8 in wrench and torque to [40-95
Nm (30-70 ft
•
lbf)].
7. Repeat the procedures 1 thru 6 on the second
pump of the tandem unit.
Final Adjustments
8. If the control neutral needs adjustment, refer to
BLN-10093 for proper procedure.
