Electrical safety
This appliance must be connected by a qualified electrician only.
In the event of a fault or damage to the appliance: take the fuses out or switch off.
Repairs to the appliance must only be carried out by qualified service engineers.
Considerable danger may result from improper repairs. If repairs become necessary,
please contact your local Service Force Centre.
Child Safety
Never leave children unsupervised when the appliance is in use.
The appliance is fitted with a child safety device.
Safety whilst Using
People (including children) who, because of their physical, sensory or mental capabili-
ties or their inexperience or ignorance are not able to use the device safely, should not
use this device without supervision or instruction by a responsible person.
This appliance is intended to be used for cooking, roasting and baking food in the
home.
Take care when connecting electric appliances to sockets nearby. Do not allow con-
necting leads to come into contact with or to catch beneath the hot oven door.
Warning: Risk of burns! The interior of the oven becomes hot during use.
Using ingredients containing alcohol in the oven may create an alcohol-air mixture
that is easily ignited. In this case, open the door carefully. Do not have embers, sparks
or naked flames in the vicinity when opening the door.
How to avoid damage to the appliance
Do not line the oven with aluminium foil and do not place baking trays, pots, etc. on
the oven floor, as the heat that builds up will damage the oven enamel.
Fruit juices dripping from the baking tray will leave stains, which you will not be able
to remove. For very moist cakes, use a deep tray.
Do not put any strain on the oven door when open.
Never pour water directly into the oven when it is hot. This could cause damage to the
enamel and discolouration.
Rough handling, especially around the edges of the front panel, can cause the glass to
break.
Do not store any flammable materials inside the oven. These could ignite when the
oven is switched on.
Do not store any moist foods inside the oven. This could damage the oven enamel.
After switching off the cooling fan, do not keep uncovered dishes in the oven. Mois-
ture may condense in the oven interior or on the glass doors and may get into the
units.

3 Note on enamel coating
Changes in the colour of the oven’s enamel coating as a result of use do not affect the
appliance’s suitability for normal and correct use. They therefore do not constitute a de-
fect in the sense of the warranty law.

Operating the Oven18
Inserting the oven shelf and roasting pan
together:
Lay the oven shelf on the roasting pan.
Insert the oven shelf and the roasting pan on
the telescopic runners of the selected oven lev-
el so that the two holes of the roasting pan en-
gage on the front retaining pins on the
telescopic runners.
3 To make it easier to insert the insertable component when runners are extended to dif-
ferent extents, lay the insertable component onto the runners at the back, push it in as
far as the stop and then lower it onto the retaining pins at the front.
Grill set
The grill set consists of grill and roasting pan. The grill can used on both sides.
1 Warning: There is a risk of burning when removing the roasting pan from the hot oven!
Inserting the grill tray underneath:
The grill tray rests in the roasting pan.
Push the roasting pan between the guide bars
of the selected oven level.
3 For roasting larger joints of meat or poultry on
one oven shelf.
19Operating the Oven
Inserting the grill tray on top:
The grill tray rests on the roasting pan.
Push the roasting pan between the guide bars
of the selected oven level.
3 For grilling flat food items in large quantities
and for toasting.
Non-stick accessories
To ensure that this accessory remains stable and permanently easy to clean, you should
follow these instructions:
Do not put accessories into the oven without any food.
Do not place accessories on hot cooking surfaces, as the non-stick properties can be
damaged by overheating.
Pizza stone
Now you can cook pizzas just like those from the pizzeria in your oven at home. The se-
cret is the pizza stone. It is first heated up in the oven so that it can give off the stored
heat during the baking process. The porous surface can absorb moisture which results in
a particularly crusty pizza.
1 Do not grease the surface of the pizza stone.
To get the right result, follow these steps carefully:
1. Prepare the pizza dough (e.g. as in our recipe suggestions, but you can also use ready-
made dough or pizza base mixtures).
2. Place the pizza stone on the oven shelf, insert them both into the 4th/5th oven position
from the top.
3. Pre-heat the oven until the temperature pilot light goes out. At the same time set:
4. Prepare the ingredients for the topping.
Oven functions Prea-heating Baking
CONVENTIONAL 275°C approx. 30 min. 275°C approx.12 min.
FAN BAKING 250°C approx. 30 min. 250°C approx.10 min.
Operating the Oven20
5. After the dough has risen, roll out the dough with a rolling pin into the desired shape
(no bigger than the size of the wooden board) and create an edge.
6. Flour the wooden board or cover it with baking paper (don’t let the baking paper go into
the oven with the pizza).
7. Lay the rolled out dough on the board.
8. Quickly top the pizza on the board with the prepared ingredients.
3 Don’t leave the finished pizza lying on the wooden board for long, as otherwise
the dough can become soggy and can’t be slid off the board!
9. Now slide the pizza onto the pre-heated pizza stone:
support the board on the pizza stone
pull the board back sharply
10. Close the oven door, bake for approx. 8-15 minutes.
When the pizza is ready, use the wooden board again to take the pizza off the stone.
If you would like to bake several pizzas one after another, re-heat the pizza stone each
time until the temperature pilot light goes out (approx. 5-10 minutes).
Tips:
If you like pizza with lots of topping, select a lower temperature and a slightly longer
time (e.g. 200°C and about 15 minutes).
For pizza that doesn’t have so much topping, you can set a high temperature and a
short time (e.g. 250°C and about 8 minutes).
Meat Probe
3 When the meat probe is plugged in, the OVEN FUNCTIONS menu offers a choice of suit-
able oven functions and additional programmes for the meat probe.
1 Important: Only the meat probe supplied may be used. If replacing, please use only
original replacement parts.
Inserting the meat probe
1. Switch on the appliance using the ON/OFF button.
2. Push the tip of the meat probe into the meat as
fully as possible, so that the tip is in the centre
of the meat.
3. Insert the meat probe plug into the socket on
the side wall of the oven as far as it will go.
