The DOS module is an external dispensing system for connection to a
Miele washer-disinfector only. It automatically dispenses liquid agent
such as cleaning and rinsing agent at the appropriate stage of the
programme. This eliminates, for instance, the need to refill the dis-
penser in the door of your washer-disinfector. Depending on ma-
chine, up to two external dispensing systems can be connected to
your washer-disinfector.
DOS modules can be retrofitted and connected if required.
The DOS module G 80 must only be used for applications de-
scribed in these instructions. Any other use, conversion or altera-
tion is not permitted and potentially dangerous.
Miele cannot be held liable for damage resulting from incorrect or
improper use or operation.
The DOS module has to be commissioned before first use and
users trained in its use by a Miele technician or authorised person
only.
Please observe the operating instructions for your washer-disin-
fector and pay particular attention to the Warning and Safety in-
structions regarding the use and handling of chemical agents.
Please read the installation instructions carefully before installing
the DOS module. This is to ensure your safety and to prevent the
risk of damage to the DOS module.
Keep these instructions in a safe place for reference.

Disposal of the packing material
The packaging is designed to protect against transportation damage.
The packaging materials used are selected from materials which are
environmentally friendly for disposal and should be recycled.
Recycling the packaging reduces the use of raw materials in the
manufacturing process and also reduces the amount of waste in
landfill sites.
Disposing of your old machine
Electrical and electronic machines often contain valuable materials.
They also contain materials which, if handled or disposed of incor-
rectly, could be potentially hazardous to human health and to the en-
vironment. They are, however, essential for the correct functioning of
your machine. Please do not therefore dispose of it with your house-
hold waste.
Please dispose of it at your local community waste collection / recyc-
ling centre or contact your dealer for advice.
Ensure that it presents no danger to children while being stored for
disposal.

Schematic diagram showing the DOS module
Installing the DOS module
The DOS module is supplied with two screws (4.2 x 25 mm) and two
plugs (6 mm) for installation.
Select a suitably accessible position, e.g. on an adjacent wall or in
a unit for installing the DOS module.
Suspended
installation:
Using the drawing as a guide fit the screws the correct distance
apart (80.0 mm) and suspend the DOS module from these.
Flat
installation:
Two slots, 76.0 mm apart are provided at the bottom of the DOS
module for fixing the DOS module to a thin carrier or plate. 3.9 mm
diameter screws (not supplied) are required for securing the DOS
module.
Drill two holes through the plate and screw the DOS module firmly
in place from underneath.

8
Installation in a
neighbouring unit:
If more than one DOS module is being used, or if the liquid agent
containers are to be stored with the DOS module, a suitable unit is
available from Miele.
Make sure hoses are laid without kinks.
en - Connection
9
Connecting the DOS modules
All DOS modules and accessories supplied with them must be fit-
ted by Miele Service or by a Miele authorised service technician.
The DOS G 80 module can be connected as standard to the washer-
disinfectors and commercial dishwasher listed under "Areas of ap-
plication for DOS modules".
The following accessories, which are supplied with the relevant DOS
module, must be used for connection to commercial dishwashers
marked with an asterisk *
DOS G 80 with
hose adapter
The hose adapter, for connecting to larger diameter dispenser con-
nections, is supplied with DOS module G 80 and must be used with
commercial dishwashers G 8066 and PG 8067.
Using the adapter, the diameter of the dispensing hose is increased
to match the diameter of the connection.
DOS G 80
ProfiLine with
hose adapter and
dispenser con-
nection
The dispenser connection and the hose adapter are supplied with the
G 80 DOS ProfiLine module and must be used with commercial dish-
washers PG 8080, PG 8081i, PG 8082 SCi and PG 8083 SCVI.
Remove the blind stoppers and fit the dispenser connection.
The dispenser connection may be hidden behind the back panel of
the machine.
Unscrew the back panel and disengage the area around dispenser
connection.

When setting the dosage please note:
For cleaning agent dosage the dispensing concentration must be
doubled in the machine controls (see the specifications for setting
dispensing concentration in the Operating instructions).
Strain relief for
dispensing hoses
The strain relief provided with the DOS module for the dispensing
hoses is fitted to the bottom right hand side of the back of the ma-
chine to prevent the hoses from dislodging themselves from the dis-
penser connections during use.
Connecting the
dispensing hoses
The DOS module is tested at the factory for functionality.
Any residues of the harmless test medium are a result of this testing
and not evidence of previous use.
Pull the safety cap off the end of the hose and remove the protect-
ive foil from the siphon.
Connect the hose with the dispenser connection on the washer-dis-
infector.
Connections for the dispensing hoses are located at the back of the
washer-disinfector
(These are described in detail in the Operating instructions for your
washer-disinfector).

11
Fill or replace the container, fit the siphon and secure the lid.
Feed the siphon into the container until it reaches the bottom.
Instructions for venting the dispensing system and setting the
dosage are given in the Operating instructions for your washer-dis-
infector.
Colour coding on
the dispensing
hoses
To differentiate between the containers when using more than one
DOS module, the hoses must be colour coded using the coloured la-
bels supplied.
Stick the label near the siphon and one of the same colour close to
the free end of the hose to enable clear identification.
Miele use and recommend the following for DOS G 80:
blue: for cleaning agent
red: for rinsing agent
Connecting the
power supply
Connections for the electricity supply are located at the back of the
machine.
(These are described in detail in the Operating instructions for your
washer-disinfector).
Connect the module to the electricity supply.
DOS G 80 / 72
DOS G 80 / 72 is supplied without a plug and is designed for direct
connection to the PG 8172 tank dishwasher.
Maintenance
The dispensing system should be serviced at the same time as the
washer-disinfector by Miele Service.
