IGEL Clever Clients are a compelling reason for
Thin Client computing. In addition to the advan-
tageous purchase price, central management
capabilities play a key role. Hardware updates for
every workstation and general maintenance and
administration expenses for single station PCs
are completely eliminated, which greatly minimizes
operating costs.

The most important features of the IGEL-3200 LX/
CE and the IGEL-3600 XP from our Compact-
Series are flexibility, reliability and cost efficiency.
The space saving, multitalented Clever Clients can
be smoothly integrated into any server-based
computing environment.
Exceptional application flexibility is ensured by a wide
range of equipment comprising the latest network and
communication protocols and software functions.
The Compact runs on Windows CE/XP Embedded
or IGEL Embedded Flash Linux operating systems
and with a high-capacity CPU and powerful graphics
provides the performance required to run a great
variety of server-based applications. IGEL-3200 LX
is outstanding due to its connection with the very
stable and secure Linux Operating System. The
IGEL-3200 CE is convincing for its proven and
fast user surface. The IGEL-3600 XP,
due to its comprehensive possibilities
to connect peripherals, provides
the recognized functional scope of
Windows XP, as well as numerous
drivers.
Optimal security
Server-based computing architecture
establishes the basis for an optimal
security concept. The integrated Smart-
card Reader achieves certificate-based
authentication to ensure secure access to appli-
cations and data. Data maintenance on the central
server also protects against loss of data and the read-
only file system is a highly effective virus protection
for the workplace.
Personalization via Smartcard
User-specific sessions or applications can be pre-
sented using the integrated Smartcard Reader /
Writer. After inserting the Smartcard, applications
are initiated by the client or server and are imme-
diately available to the user on the desktop.
Maximum availability
IGEL Clever Clients create an infra-
structure with maximum operating
stability and failure safety. With auto-
mated central management via the server, even firm-
ware updates will not affect performance. Load
balancing on Citrix server farms is also supported
by Clever Clients.

mote Manager is a powerful tool to

and easily configured by importing
Mac address lists. The Remote Ma-
nagement Suite comes as a standard feature with IGEL Thin Clients and updates
for both Remote Manager and Client firmware are free for the life of the unit.

will be extended to 3 years.
