It is rated for use on cables with a voltage of 15 kV and a conductor size of 2/0 AWG to 250 kcmil. The kit includes a molded rubber splice body, a Porta-Pencil, silicone grease, and an inline compression connector. The splice body is designed to provide a weatherproof seal and protect the splice from the elements. The Porta-Pencil is used to hold the conductors in place while the splice is being made.
