This guide provides instructions for placing a Scotsman ice machine on the BH1100, BH1300, or BH1600 upright ice storage bin. These bins come with four plastic filler panels to cover the hole in the bin's top when an ice machine is not installed. The panels can be combined to create different configurations to accommodate various ice machine sizes and models.

For example:

  • For a single 30" cuber or flaker on a BH1100 bin, use two 9" panels, one on each end.
  • For two 22" cubers on a BH1100 bin, use one 9" panel between the two ice machines.

These three bins are supplied with four plastic filler panels, two 9 inch and two 13.5
inch. The top of the bin has a large hole that must be covered by the ice machine and
/or one or more panels. These panels can be combined to cover the space next to an
ice machine. See the proper page for an illustration of which panels to use and where to
place them.
Custom Bin Tops required for CME686, CME810, EH222, MAR1400, MAR2000, two
30” units or a stack of two CME cubers on BH1300 or BH1600.
Note: Two 30” units side by side must not be air cooled. Two 21” or 22” air cooled units
side by side must be separated and have adequate air flow.
There are no means for securing the ice machine to the bin’s top.
