Adjusting the Modular Amplifier
The Modular Amplifier has been designed to work with AT&T
telephones. The following steps will ensure that the Amplifier
works correctly with your telephone.

the Modular Amplifier. (FIGURE 3) Slide it out of the bracket.

Remove handset. If dial tone is not heard in the headset,
move slide switch to each position in turn. When a clear dial
tone is heard, go to the next step. If no dial tone is heard in
any switch position, move the switch to position 5 and install
the AC/DC converter as described above.
Adjusting the Transmit Level Dial
You may need to adjust the sound transmission level of
your headset (what your caller hears). Before attempting this
adjustment, complete the installation of your headset. If needed,
return to this section to adjust the Transmit Level Dial.
Place a call to a friend and talk while rotating the dial with the
screwdriver. (FIGURE 5) Continue rotating until the optimum
sound tone and level are reached. The sound level should be
the same as when using the handset. You can check it by
putting the handset to your ear and then pushing the "ON/OFF"
button so the indicator is black. Once set, you do not have to
readjust this dial unless you change telephones.
2 Return the plastic mini-screwdriver to the bracket for
future use.
USAGE

Your headset model is equipped with a Quick Disconnect
module. This feature allows you to place a call on hold with-
out removing your headset, thus freeing you to perform a
task away from the phone. Your conversation is quickly
resumed by reconnecting the Quick Disconnect.
