INSTRUCTIONS RELEVANT TO POSITIONING
The device shall be installed:
at a height of 240 cm above the ground or at a height of 90
cm in order to create a corridor for pets (standard heights c

hanged);
far from heat sources and from direct sunlight;
far from electromagnetic sources (
e.g. electricity meters,
electric engines);
at a distance of at least 1.5 meters from fluorescent lights;
by avoiding to direct the detector towards moving objects
(e.g. curtains);
by avoiding to direct the detector towards
reflecting objects
that could change the coverage area.
Figure 1 shows the IR coverage diagrams
in flat view and in
height view (standard settings and corridor settings for pets)
when the detector is adjusted for a wide coverage angle.

igure 2 shows similar coverage diagrams related to the detector
adjusted for a long-distance coverage.

General description
T
he indoor passive infrared detector detects the presence of
intruders in the controlled area.
The detector can be configured in order to provide a wide
coverage angle or a long-distance coverage by keeping the same
sensitivity.
T
he sensor can operate also in presence of pets.
