APPLICATIONS
Youmayusethistoolforthefollowingpurpose:
Hammering nails into all typesof wood,wood-like materials,and plaster
board.
INSTALLING HEAD
See Figure 1.
Removethebatterypackfromthepowerhandleordisconnectfrompower
supply.
Placetheheadonthepowerhandleandpushuntilthelatchesclickinto
position.Pull onthe head tomake sure itis securelyinstalled before
proceeding.
NOTE:Theheadcanbeinstalledat90°anglestobestsuityourapplication
needs.
LOADING NAILS
See Figure 2.
Nailswithaheaddiameterlessthan7/16in.andalengthlessthanorequal
to3-1/2in.arerecommendedforusewiththeautohammer.
RefertotheNailSelectionChartbelowwhenchoosingnailsforyourspecific
application.
Toloadanail,holdthepowerhandlefirmlywithfingersawayfromthetrigger.
Withthenoseoftheautohammerheadpointedawayfromyou,feedanail
intothemagneticsleeve.Themagneticsleevewillhelpholdthenailuntilyou
arereadytodriveitintotheworkpiece.

DRIVING NAILS
See Figures 3 - 5.
Securetheworkpiecewithclamps.
Placethedirectionofrotationselectoronthepowerhandleintheforward
position.
NOTE:Iftheselectorisnotintheforwardposition,anailcannotbedriven.
Steadythenailatthedesiredpointontheworkpiecebyholdingthenailshaft
withyourhand.
Depressthetriggercompletelytodrivethenailpartiallyintotheworkpiece.
Drivethenailfarenoughsothatitdoesnotwobble.
NOTE:Forbestresults,nailsshouldbedrivenwiththetriggerfullydepressed
sothetoolisworkingatitshighestspeed.
Moveyourhandawayfromthenail.
Depressthetriggercompletelyandcontinuetohammeruntilthenailheadis
flushwiththeworkpiece.
Donot placeyour handor fingers nearthe nailhead whilethe tool is
hammering.Useyour hand onlytoholdthe nail ontheworkpieceat the
beginningofhammering.
Usecautionwhendrivingthenailclosetotheworkpiece.Youcandamage
theworkpiecearoundthenailheadifthenailisdriventoofar.
Forbestresults:
Donotforcethetool,applysidepressure,orplaceyourotherhandonthe
headofthetool.
Donotdrivenailsclosetotheedgeoftheworkpiecetohelppreventsplintering
orsplittingthewood.
Donotusetheautohammerfornailingintohardmaterialsorconcrete.
Donotnailintoknotsor othergrainpatternsthatmaycreatedifficultyin
drivingthenail.
NOTE: Withextendeduse,nailsmayleavearesidueontheanvilinsidethe
hammeringhead,resultinginblackmarksontheworkpiece.Topreventthis,
cleantheanvilperiodically.
Removethebatterypackfromthepowerhandleordisconnectfrompower
supply.
Pushbacktheoutersleeveofthehammeringheadtoexposetheanvil.
Wipetheanvilwithaclean,drycloth.

s’enclenchenten place.Tirersur la têtepour s’assurer qu’elle estfixée
solidementavantdecommencerl’opération.
NOTE : Latêtepeutêtreinstalléeàdesanglesde90°afindes’adapterà
l’applicationvisée.
