When operating your blender

Cleaning and Maintenance
Never clean the appliance with scourers, abrasive pads or
chemicals.
Ensure the appliance is switched o and unplugged from
the mains socket.
The ask and lid are dishwasher safe. No other part of the
appliance is suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher.
Exercise care when cleaning the blade assembly.
Immediately after use, always clean the parts that have
come into contact with food.
Flask and lid
• Wash the ask and lid in a mild detergent solution.
The ask and lid may also be cleaned in a dishwasher.
• Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Blade assembly
• Wash the blade assembly briey under running water,
without the use of abrasive cleaner or detergents.
Note: Do not immerse the blade assembly in water because
over time the lubrication on the bearings will deteriorate.
• Allow the blade assembly to dry thoroughly before
storage.
• When possible, t the blade assembly to a ask for
storage for safe keeping and to protect it.
Motor body
• Wipe the motor body with a damp cloth. Never
immerse it in water for cleaning - DANGER OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK.
• Reassemble all the components.
Loosely coil the power cord and store the appliance
assembled together with the spare lid and the extra ask
in a cupboard. Refer to the cover illustration.

Introduction
Your Sports Blender is ideal for making small servings of
liquids and purees and can also be used in the preparation
of baby foods. A blender ask is provided with its own lid.
IMPORTANT: This appliance is not intended for blending
large amounts of food. It is not suitable for crushing ice or
other frozen ingredients.
Unpacking
Unpack your blender carefully.

If any items are missing or damaged return the item to
your nearest Tesco store for replacement. Please have your
receipt with you when you call.
Retain the packaging. If you dispose of the packaging do
so with regard to any recycling regulations in your area.

Operation
Important notes
• The maximum time you can run the unit with no load
is 60 seconds.
• Blades are very sharp, handle them with care.
• Ensure that the blender motor is unplugged from
the power outlet before assembling or removing
attachments.
Food Preparation
Cut the ingredients into 20mm (0.75”) cubes. If the food is
very dense, cut the pieces into smaller cubes.
If the ingredients are dry, pour some liquid into the ask.
Never try to reduce dry ingredients in the blender.
Assembly
1. Take a blender ask and remove any attachment
from the base. Invert the ask and ll it with the
ingredients. Do not overll the ask. The maximum
capacity is 600 ml but we suggest you do not exceed
500 ml. If you are preparing a larger quantity use
several smaller batches.
5. Turn the ask upright.
6. Place the ask with blade
assembly into the top of
the motor body.

place the blade assembly on
the top of the ask.
CAUTION: Avoid touching the
blades.
3. Firmly screw the blender
blade assembly clockwise
onto the ask.
4. Place the base on a rm stable worktop.

Your appliance is covered by a warranty for 12 months
from the date of purchase. If a fault develops during this
period, please return the unit to your nearest Tesco store
together with the original receipt as proof of purchase.

Blending
1. Make sure the ask and the blade assembly are secure
and in the lock position.
2. Plug your blender into the mains outlet and switch on
the power.
3. Press and hold the On/O button
The blender will start. The blender will continue to blend
as long as the On/O button is pressed.
4. To stop the operation, release the On/O button.
5. Blend in short pulses increasing the operating time as
the blend progresses.
6. Do not run the blender continuously for more than 1
minute. After a full 1 minute cycle allow the blender to
rest for 3 minutes before using it again.
7. During blending, hold the both the blender ask and
the blender base for better stability.
Operating Cautions
Never blend very hot liquids in the blender. This is
dangerous as the contents may erupt. In extreme cases
the pressure inside the ask could damage the vessel.
If you spill liquid on the base immediately switch o and
wipe dry.
If the motor stalls release the pulse button immediately.
Unplug the blender and let it cool for at least 10 minutes.
When you nish blending
• Unplug the blender from the mains socket.
• Turn the ask and blade assembly anti-clockwise to
unlock and remove it from the base of the blender.
• Invert the ask.
• Unscrew the blade assembly. As there may be pressure
in the ask, open the blade assembly slightly to
release any pressure before fully removing it.
• Spoon out the contents carefully or replace the blade
assembly with the spill-proof lid.
You can transport liquids in the ask with the spill-proof
lid in place. The lid features a stopper for easy access to
liquids when you are on the move.
