Problem Description
Avaya has identified a quality issue with the BCM450.R600.SU.System013 Smart Update patch. As a result this patch has
been removed from the Avaya Support web site
Here are the conditions which trigger the problem
The customer has is running any BCM 450 system with patches installed. A number of keycodes are defined for the
customer system.
The customer installs BCM450.R600.SU.System013 Smart Update patch.
When the BCM boots up after the installation, the keycodes are no longer present
Scope
The issue can affect any BCM 450 6.0 system which has the BCM450.R600.SU.System013 Smart Update patch
installed.
There is no impact to BCM 050 systems The Smart Update BCM050.R600.SU.System013 is still available on the Avaya
web site
Design status
Avaya design has replicated the problem, and is working to identify root cause and a fix. This bulletin will be updated once a
fix is available.
Recommended Action
Avaya has identified a workaround for the problem.

Back up your entire system.
Perform a level 2 reset of the BCM to bring it back to the BCM 6.0 General Availability software level.
Check if your keycodes have been restored by logging into BCM Element Manager and viewing the System -> Keycodes
pane
If your keycodes are not restored, Contact the KRS team to regenerate your keycodes and install them on your BCM.
Otherwise, proceed to the next step.
Reinstall the patches that were previously on your system.
Restore the customer data.
