This product is not a toy; do not allow children to play with it.
Avoid pumping too hard or too fast; this could cause nipple irritation.
When using the pump, do not overfill or tilt bottles.
Do not heat bottle in microwave oven (this may cause hot spots which could harm
baby).
Do not put children to bed with bottle. Prolonged contact with liquids may cause
tooth decay.
Wash all parts prior to use.
Always test temperature of liquid before feeding baby.
Do not let a child take a bottle to bed or self-feed for long periods.
To prevent possible choking hazard, test strength of nipple by pulling on bulb portion.
Discontinue use if any tear or crack appears.
CLEAN all parts before use. See “TO DISASSEMBLE AND CLEAN” for instructions.

ASSEMBLY
IMPORTANT: When inserting valve, run your
finger around the rim to seal edges. Avoid pulling
or pushing on middle of valve.
1) Assemble valve. After cleaning, re-insert
valve into bottom of pump body until it’s
flush against stop. Be sure to push valve all
the way on until it can't go any further.
3) Drop silicone cup into pump body.
5) Align arrow on pump rim with arrow on cap.
Rotate until arrows no longer align.
2) Screw bottle onto pump
4) Press silicone cup down on pump rim. Be sure
silicone cup is seated on the rim all the way
around.
TO USE
Note: For health and personal cleanliness, always wash your hands thoroughly before pumping.
CAUTION:
1) Position pump. Position pump shield firmly
against your breast. To ensure necessary
vacuum for suction, be sure your nipple is
centered within the opening. Your breast
should fill pump shield completely (although
pump shield will likely not fit around your
breast completely). Improper positioning
can cause nipple irritation.
2) Rotate the pump handle. Rotate pump
handle to the position that’s most
comfortable for you. Gently push down on
pump handle and begin pumping. (You don’t
need to use the full stroke of the pump handle
to create a vacuum for suction – only as much
as is comfortable.)
It may take numerous pumps initially for milk to
begin to flow. Continue to pump at a rate that is
comfortable for you.
Pump until you’ve expressed the desired amount
of milk and gently remove pump
from breast.
To avoid damage to the pump:
BE SURE TO HOLD THE PUMP STRAIGHT UP
DURING USE. If the pump is tilted, milk could
flow into the pump handle. If this occurs, stop
pumping. Carefully remove the bottle from the
pump. The breast milk in the bottle can be
used for immediate feeding, or stored
according to the storage tips provided. Discard
any excess milk. If the pump stops working, or if
milk has flowed into the pump handle, do not
attempt to take handle apart. Please call our
parent service center at 1-800-704-8697.
IF MILK REACHES THE 5 OZ. LEVEL, STOP
PUMPING. If you wish to continue pumping,
remove the full bottle and replace
it with an empty bottle. Pumping into an
overfilled bottle could cause damage to
the unit.
3) Remove bottle assembly. Holding the pump
and bottle upright, carefully unscrew the
bottle from the pump body, cover, and tighten
to seal. Store filled bottle according to storage
instructions provided. Once bottle is safely
stored, disassemble pump and clean.
BREASTFEEDING TIPS
SAVE THESE INSTUCTIONS
Breastfeeding is the most precious gift you can
give to your child. Human milk is the most
beneficial nutrition available and contains
hundreds of ingredients not found in formula. It
also contains antibodies that help to protect your
baby from infection and to stimulate the baby’s
immune system.
Although the primary benefit of breastfeeding is
nutritional, nursing is about more than feeding
your baby. It's also a comforting and nurturing
experience. Follow these simple suggestions and
you and your baby will both benefit from the
wonderful bond you share through breastfeeding.
Baby at the breast
Make a nesting station so you can nurse your baby
without interruption.
Comfortable chair w/ footstool or sitting upright
in bed
Lots of pillows
Pitcher of water
Cut up fruit, veggies, snack etc
Cordless phone
TV remote
When baby is at the breast his/her belly should
touch your body, in whatever position you
choose to feed (cradle, clutch, lying down).
Use lots of pillows to keep baby level with your
breasts being sure to always hold the baby.
Hold baby with one hand/ arm and your breast
with the other.
Tickle the baby’s nose with your nipple. Make
him/her open their mouth VERY wide.
Guide your baby onto the breast (not the nipple).
Babies need to suck the breast not just the
nipple.
Once the baby is comfortably latched on, sit
back, take a drink of water, relax and ENJOY!
Most breastfed babies will want to eat about
every 2-3hrs
Starting to pump
Wash your hands.
Wherever you are, try to make a comfortable /
private space.
Look at a picture of your baby and smell his/her
shirt or blanket.
Fill a pitcher with water or juice.
When to contact your lactation consultant:
If baby is less than 4 weeks old
If baby is premature (less than 36 week
gestation)
If mother is engorged
If mother has sore nipples
If mother has low milk supply
If baby has difficulty latching onto breast
TROUBLESHOOTING
If there is Low or No Suction...
1. Make sure valve is pressed firm against
bottom of pump body and valve is
pushed in all the way. Run your finger
around the edge of the rim to seal
edges.
2. Inspect valve for tears or damage.
3. Make sure pump handle is providing the
full range of motion.
4. Make sure silicone cup is tightly secured
to pump rim and the pump cap is on
completely. ( Please note: Arrow on the
pump rim should not be aligned with
the arrow on the pump cap.)

TIPS FOR FREEZING MILK
Only fill container ¾ full before freezing to allow for milk expansion.
Freeze milk in quantities of 2 to 4 ounce portions. This allows milk to thaw quicker and creates
less waste if your baby does not drink it all.
ALWAYS use thawed milk within 24 hours of thawing.
NEVER refreeze milk once it has been defrosted.
DO NOT use a microwave oven to thaw frozen breast milk.
Thaw frozen breast milk in the refrigerator for several hours or with warm water. If thawing
with warm water, you may need to gently shake the container to blend any fat that has separated.
WARNING
DO NOT warm milk in a microwave oven as it destroys nutrients and antibodies and can create
hot spots harmful for your baby.
DO NOT use a bottle warmer to warm breast milk, unless the bottle warmer is specially designed
to work with breast milk.
NEVER immerse a frozen bottle into boiling water as this may cause the bottle to crack.
Single use only for the milk storage bag.
