System Start-Up Information
1. Do not vacuum anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, hot ashes, or any hot
substance!
2. Do not vacuum (or use this cyclone near) ammable or combustible liquids, gases, or explosive dusts, such as
gasoline or other fuels, lighter uid, cleaners, oil-based paints, natural gas, hydrogen, coal dust, magnesium
dust, grain dust, aluminum dust, sugar dust, our dust or gun powder.
3. To reduce the risk of health hazards from vapors or dusts, do not vacuum toxic materials unless a HEPA lter
is used. Do not use or store near hazardous materials.
4. Dust can be ammable and explosive. Some dust can be toxic or cause allergic reactions.
5. Wood dust mixtures are highly ammable and can be explosive. NEVER introduce sparks or sources of
ignition into collector.
a. Dump drum after each use.
b. Ground system.
6. NEVER leave wood dust in a building or vehicle.
7. Keep re extinguishers handy at all times.
8. Can be used for collecting non-ammable liquids.
9. Dispose of waste in a FIRE SAFE AREA.

Assembly Instructions
Place Gasket for Cyclone (H) over the center
hole in the Steel Lid (I) and line up the holes.
Secure the Cyclone (F) using the 1/4”-20 X 3/4”
Bolts (G1), 1/4” Flat Washers (G2), and 1/4”
Flange Nuts (G3) from the Hardware Pack (G)
as shown in [FIG. 1]

Place the 12" Diameter Gasket (J) over the lip
along the rim of the 5 Gallon Pail (K) as shown
in [FIG 2] & [FIG 3]
NOTE: Double Ribs of gasket are facing up, and
the gasket wraps around lip of drum.

3If you wish to use bags, rst install the bag
retainer:
a. Drill a ½" diameter hole about 1-½" from
the bottom edge of the 5 Gallon Pail (K).
b. Screw the 1/4" Tube Fitting (N) into the
newly drilled hole, it will form its own
threads. Carefully and gently, use a wrench
to screw it all the way in, over tightening
will strip the threads.
c. Attach the 2” Elbow with 1/4” Fitting (C) to
the top outlet of the Steel Cyclone. (F)
d. Insert one end of the 1/4” OD Clear Vinyl
Tubing (N) into the 2” Elbow with 1/4”
Fitting (C) and the other end into the tting
at the base of the 5 Gallon Pail (K).
NOTE: Using a bag with the Dust Deputy will
help minimize exposure to trapped dust

4Once the bag retainer is installed:
a. Insert Bag (P), into the 5 Gallon Pail (K) so
the bag is fairly snug to the edges.
b. Fold the top edge of the Bag (P) over the
rim of the 5 Gallon Pail (K) neatly to
minimize the folds which will cause leaks.
c. Place the Steel Lid (I) and turn on your
system.
d. When the 5 Gallon Pail (K) is 2/3 full,
remove the Steel Lid (I) and pull out the
Bag (P), seal, and dispose.
5If you wish to use the Mobility Kit (Q):
a. Insert the 5/16"-18 Square Nut (Q2) into
the square pocket on the underside of the
Molded Drum Dolly (R) and a 5/16"-18
X 2" J Bolt (Q1) in the indicated holes on
opposing sides of the Molded Drum Dolly
(R). DO NOT overtighten [FIG. 6].
b. Secure the Rubber Strap with S Cus (Q3)
at their halfway point underneath each J
Bolt (Q1) as shown in [FIG. 6].
c. Place 5 Gallon Pail (K) in center of Molded
Drum Dolly (R), and then place the
assembled unit on top of it
d. Hook the Rubber Straps S Cus (Q3) into
the holes on the Steel Lid (I) in order to
secure the assembled unit to the Molded
Drum Dolly (R)[FIG 7].
