• SuperFrost® Plus GOLD slides are inherently tissue binding so there is no
need to add spray or adhesives to the slide.
• Allow SuperFrost® Plus GOLD slide to contact the frozen tissue sections
directly in the cryostat using your standard technique.
• Place the slide horizontally on a table top (tissue side up) at room tempera-
ture for one minute. This allows time for the revolutionary surface binding
chemistry in the SuperFrost® Plus GOLD slide to unite with the tissue section.
This short time at room temperature does not cause frozen sections artifact
because the SuperFrost® Plus GOLD slide holds both nuclear and cytoplas-
mic tissue components firmly immobilized in their place during the bonding
process. The longer you allow for bonding time, the more the frozen tissue will
adhere to the slide.
• Postx the SuperFrost® Plus GOLD slides if you wish, and stain as per your
standard protocol.
• Store the SuperFrost® Plus GOLD slides at room temperature.
