AT&T TL96273 cordless phone offers a range of features for convenient communication. With the digital answering system, you can record and playback messages with ease. The phone also includes a caller ID feature that displays the name and number of incoming callers. The phonebook allows you to store up to 50 names and numbers for quick dialing. The handset features adjustable volume control and a variety of equalizer settings to customize your audio experience. The speakerphone function enables hands-free conversations.

Troubleshooting Tips:

For Handset audio cutting out:

1. Adjust the volume control. The volume control is the up and down arrow keys . The volume

control will not work unless the handset is in use.

2. Adjust the Equalizer setting. On the handset, while on a call, press OPTION. Press the up or

down arrows to highlight Equalizer, then press SELECT. Press the up or down arrow to select

Treble 1, Treble 2, Bass or Natural (default), then press SELECT.

3. Like many electronics, a simple reset may resolve the issue. Unplug the battery from the

handset. After 15 seconds, plug the battery in and recradle the handset in the base for

1minute. Try using the handset again.

4. If the handset is not responding normally, you may need to reset your telephone system.

Complete the following steps to reset the telephone system:

Step 1: Disconnect the power to the telephone base.

Step 2: Disconnect the handset battery(s).

Step 3: Wait a few minutes and then reconnect the power to the telephone base.

Step 4: Reconnect the handset battery(s).

Step 5: Wait about one minute for the handset to re-establish a link with the telephone base

and then test the phone again.

NOTE: After resetting the telephone system, you will need to reset the clock.

5. Your handset being out of range of the base may cause a poor connection. Move the handset

closer to the base. The operating range may vary with environmental conditions and time of

use. There may be places within your environment that a cordless phone will not work well. If

the problem only occurs in certain areas of your environment, you can conclude that there is

nothing wrong with the phone.

For Speakerphone audio cutting out:

1. Adjust the volume control. The volume control is the up and down arrow keys

2. Move closer to the speakerphone and face it while speaking.

3. Your speakerphone will only allow sound to travel in one direction at a time. It can either

receive or transmit; it cannot do both at once. Background noise can cause the unit to seem like

it is cutting in and out, when really it is switching modes any transient noise like a subtle cough

or a fan in the background can cause the unit to switch modes. If you are using a speakerphone

where there is background noise, please use the MUTE button when you are not speaking. This

will prevent the unit from switching modes when you are not speaking.

4. If the handset is not responding normally, you may need to reset your telephone system.
