Here are all the basics to find your way around your
Motorola XOOM™. For a quick overview,

Touch tips
Touch your way around your tablet. Heres how.
Touch
To choose or open an icon or option, touch it.
Touch & hold
To open special options, touch and hold an icon or
other item.
Drag
To scroll through a list
or move slowly, drag
across the touchscreen.
Tip: When you drag or
flick a list, a scroll bar
appears on the right.
Drag the scroll bar to
move the list to a letter
A-Z.
Drag & drop
Drag and drop an item
to move it to another
area on the
screen—touch the
item, drag it to the new location, then release it.
Flick
To scroll through a list or move quickly, flick across the
touchscreen (drag quickly and release).
Tip: When you flick a long list, touch the screen to stop
it from scrolling.

Zoom
Get a closer look at maps or web pages. To zoom in,
pinch your fingers together or move them apart on the
screen.
You can also zoom in or out by double-touching (tap
twice, quickly) the screen. To zoom out, double touch
the screen again.
Rotate the screen
In many apps, the touchscreen adjusts when you turn
the tablet sideways. Touch >
Settings
>
Screen > Auto-rotate screen.
Home screen
You’ll see the home screen when you turn on your
tablet or touch Home . The home screen gives you
all your latest information in one place.
Note: Your home screen might look a little different.
Your home screen includes these features:

Widgets: Widgets show you the date, updates, and
more. Some widgets, like email, let you scroll or
flick through items, so you dont even have to leave
the home screen. The books widget is a stacked
widget—you can flick through your content within
the widget, on the home screen, without opening
the
Books app.
Five panels: Flick left and right to see more home
screen panels of shortcuts, widgets, and more.
Navigation icons
Several icons appear on the home screen and most
other screens.
Back —Return to the previous screen.
Home —Return to the home screen.
Recent apps —See recent apps. Touch an icon to
open the app.
Menu —Open a menu for the screen you’re on.
Customize your home screen
You can add widgets, apps, wallpapers, and more to
your home screen. Touch to open a sleek 3D
customization screen. From this screen, you can add
items to all five home screen panels.
To move or delete something, touch and hold it until
you feel a vibration, then drag it to another panel or to
the trash at the top of the screen.
Notifications
Tablet status, app notification, and quick settings—one
touch. To see a specific notification, touch the icon. To
open a panel, touch the digital clock.
