Power on for the First Time

When starting for the first time, fully charge the device.

Plug the power adapter into the device and charge the device to make sure that battery is full.

Power On/Power Off

1. Power On

Press the power button a few seconds until the device vibrates.

2. Enter/Exit Sleep Mode

Click the power button once, the screen enters sleep mode.

When the screen is lit up and there is no operation for one minute, the device will automatically

enter the sleep mode(Standby time setting: Display > Screen timeout).

Click the power button once, the screen lights up and exits sleep mode. Swipe up on the screen to

unlock.

3. Power Off/Restart/Screenshot

Long press the power button, a dialog box will pop up on the right side of the screen. Select the

desired function to turn off the power, restart or take a screenshot.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is a wireless network technology that can provide Internet access at distance up to 100 feet,

depending on the Wi-Fi router and surroundings.

You can access the Internet when you connect your RS60 to a Wi-Fi network. To connect your

phone to a Wi-Fi network;

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ).

2. Tap on Network & Internet ( ) .

3. Tap on Wi-Fi ( ) .

4. Set the Wi-Fi to ON position located under Wireless & networks settings. A list of Wi-Fi access

points present within your phone accessible range are displayed.

5. Select your preferred network. Enter the WEP/WPS/WPA key (if it is a secured network) and

select Connect. To verify the password before connecting, enable Show password.

Add Network

1. On Wi-Fi screen, tap on Add network ( ).

2. Enter the Network name and select the Security from the drop-down list. You can set the

network password.

3. Tap on Advanced options. The settings such as Proxy and IP settings can be updated using the

drop-down list.

4. Tap on Save to save the network settings.

Connect To Network

1. Long press on connected network.

2. Tap on Connect to network.

3. Enter the network password.

4. The other network setting details such as Advanced options, Proxy, IP settings can be updated.

5. Tap on CONNECT to get connected to the network.

Network & Internet

Mobile Network

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings( ).

2. Tap on Network & Internet ( ) > Mobile network ( ),

3. Select SIM card Slot and the following options are displayed:

• Mobile data: Turn On to enable mobile data. Using mobile data, you can access Internet.

• Roaming: Turn ON to enable data roaming to connect to data services while roaming.

• Data usage: Mobile data usage for a particular time frame is displayed.

• Network:

- Automatically select network: Turn ON to connect to the selected network automatically.

- Network: The network name is displayed.

- Access Point Names: Tap on Access Point

Names (APNs) to view and edit the network access points. Tap on the ( ) icon to add a new

access point.

Hotspot & Tethering

Hotspot and Tethering provides Internet to other devices through your mobile data connection.

Apps can also create a hotspot to share content with nearby devices.

USB Tethering

Using USB tethering, you can share phone’s Internet connection via USB.

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ).

2. Tap on Network & Internet( ) > Hotspot & tethering ( ).

3. Turn on USB tethering.

Bluetooth tethering

Share phone's internet connection via Bluetooth

Setup Mobile Hotspot

You can set up a hotspot using your mobile device.

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ).

2. Tap on Network & Internet( ) > Hotspot & tethering ( ).

3. Tap on Set up Mobile hotspot.

4. Enter the following details:

• Hotspot name: Enter the hotspot name.

• Security: Select the desired security from the drop-down list.

• Hotspot Password: The password must have at least 8 characters.

5. Tap on Save to save the mobile hotspot.

SIM cards

From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ).

Select SIM card Slot and the following options are displayed:

2SIM 2.

3Preferred SIM for Cellular data\Calls\SMS messages.

Airplane Mode

When your phone is set in airplane mode, network connectivity or mobile data connectivity is

disabled. But you can access your camera, media files and other features that do not require

mobile data connectivity.

To activate airplane mode;

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ).

2. Tap on Network & Internet( ) > Airplane Mode ( ).

Bluetooth Turn ON

You can share the phone’s Internet connection via Bluetooth.

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ).

2. Tap on Connected devices( > Connection preferences > Bluetooth( )

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology used to communicate between the

devices over a distance of about 8 meters.You can perform the following tasks using Bluetooth

paired devices.

• Transfer media files and contacts between connected mobile devices using Bluetooth.

• Use Bluetooth connected headphones for playing media file.

Pairing A Bluetooth Device

To activate Bluetooth and pair your RS60 device with other

Bluetooth Devices:

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Connected devices ( ) > Connec-

tion preferences.

2. Tap and enable Bluetooth ( ). A list of accessible Bluetooth devices are displayed. Ensure

that Bluetooth is activated on the other device as well.

3. Tap on Pair new device ( ) to pair a new device. Available devices are listed.

4. Select the desired device from the list. It starts pairing with the selected device. A confirmation

message is displayed to pair the device. Select PAIR.

Device Name

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Connected devices ( )> Connection

preferences..

2. Tap and enable Bluetooth ( ).

3. Tap on Device name. Rename this device screen is displayed. You can change the name and

tap on Rename.

Cast

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Connected devices ( ) >

Connection preferences.

2. Tap on Cast ( ).

3. You can cast your screen from your Android™ device. Connect your Android device to the

same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast or TV with Chromecast built-in. In the top left corner of

the app’s Home screen, tap on Menu Cast Screen > audio Cast Screen > audio.

4. Ensure that your Android device and Chromecast are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

NFC

NFC (Near-Field Communication) is a set of communication protocols that enable two electronic

devices one of which is usually a portable device such as a smart phone, to establish communica-

tion by bringing them within 4 cm of each other.

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Connected devices ( ) > Connec-

tion preferences> NFC ( ).

2. Turn ON NFC to allows your device to scan various cards.

Printing

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Connected devices ( )> Connection

preferences > Printing ( ) .

2. Tap on Print > Default Print Service ( ). Turn On the Default Print Service.

3. Tap on Add services ( ). Google Play screen is displayed. You can sign in with your Google

credentials and add any desired service.

Files received via Bluetooth

Display the received file list information and can open it for viewing

Chromebook

Link devices so you can text from your computer,share your phone's internet connection,and

simplify unlocking.*Use your chromebook to set up.

APPS INFO

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Apps & notifications ( ).

2. Tap on App info.

The list of apps installed on the device are displayed.

1. Tap on All apps. You can view All apps, Installed apps and Disabled apps.

Tap on Options ( ) and the following options are displayed: Show system: System based apps

are displayed.

Show system: System based apps are hidden.

Reset app preferences: You can reset all the preferences set for the apps.

NOTIFICATIONS

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Apps & notifications ( ).

2. Tap on Notifications.

3. Tap on App notifications. Tap on the desired app and turn on the notification.

Tap on On the lock screen. There are two options: Show all notification content

Don’t show notification at all

Tap on Allow notification dots and turn it On to get a notification when you have an unread

notification.

Turn On Blink light to receive a LED notification light even when your device screen is off.

Turn On Flash call alert to receive an alert when there is an incoming call.

Turn On Flash notification alert to use camera flash light for missed events.

Tap on Default notification sound. Tap on the desired ringtone from the list. You can also add a

new ringtone using the option Add ringtone ( ).

APP PERMISSIONS

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Apps & notifications ( ).

2. Tap on App permissions. App permissions govern what your app is allowed to do and access.

ADVANCED

1. From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Apps & notifications ( ).

Tap on Advanced and the following options are displayed: Default apps: The default apps are

listed.

Wireless Emergency alerts: For more information, refer to “Wireless Emergency Alerts” on page

21.

Special app access: Tap on this option to view different settings.

ACCESSIBILITY

You can make websites and applications more accessible to people with disabilities when they

are using mobile phones and other devices.

From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Accessibility ( ).

VOLUME SHORTCUT KEY

1. Tap on Volume key shortcut. Turn On to enable Shortcut service. You can select any of the

listed service to set a shortcut.

2. Enable Allow from lock screen to perform this functionality.

Glove Mode

From Notifications or App menu, tap on Settings ( ) > Accessibility ( )> Glove Mode.

SCREEN READERS

Under Screen readers, the following services are displayed:

Select to Speak: When Select to Speak is on, you can tap specific items on your screen to hear

them read aloud.

Talkback: When Talkback is enabled, it helps vision-impaired users interact with their devices. It

uses spoken word, vibration and other audible feedback to let you know what is on your screen.

Text-to-speech output: Preferred engine: By default, the preferred engine is Google

Text-to-speech engine. Tap on Settings ( ) and Google TTS options are displayed. Set the

options as per your requirement.

• Language: By default, Use system language option is selected. You can also select the

desired language.

• Speech rate: Tap on Speech rate to set the speech input rate to a comfortable speed.

• Pitch: Tap on Pitch to set the pitch rate.

• Tap on RESET to reset the settings.

DISPLAY

Under Display, the following options are displayed:

Magnification: You can set to ON to perform these gestures on the device screen:

Magnify with triple-tap

Magnify with button

Color correction: Turn On to make the color correction.

Correction mode: The following options are displayed: Deuteranomaly (red-green), Protanomaly

(red-green) and Trianomaly (blue-yellow)

Color inversion: If this is enabled, displayed colors are inverted and may affect the performance.

Large mouse pointer: Enable this option to set the large mouse pointer.

Remove animations: Enable this option to set the remove animations.

INTERACTION CONTROLS

Under Interaction controls, the following options are displayed:

Switch Access: Turn On to let people with motor impairments control phones using one or more

switches. Use switches to select items, scroll, enter text and more.

Click after pointer stops moving: Turn On to set the delay before click.

Power button ends call: Turn On to enable the call ending using the power button.

High contrast text: If this option is enabled, you can see the text changes into the contrast

colors.

Power button ends call: Turn on to enable the call ending using the power button.

Press Home wake up: Turn on to make the home screen wake up on press.

Auto-rotate screen: Turn on to set auto-rotate screen ON.

Touch & hold delay: You can set the delay time as Short, Medium and Long.

INTERACTION CONTROLS

Under Interaction controls, the following options are displayed:

Accessibility Menu: Turn On to provides a large on-screen menu to control your phone. You can

lock your phone, control volume and brightness, take screenshots, and more.

Switch Access: Turn On to let people with motor impairments control phones and tablets using

one or more switches. Use switches to select items, scroll, enter text and more.

Dwell timing: Turn On to set the delay before click.

Power button ends call: Turn On to enable the call ending using the power button.
