USE OF THE CHARGER

ATTENTION
Use only with NiCd or NiMH cells. Non rechargeable batteries or other types
(Alkaline etc.) could cause an explosion!

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the operating instructions carefully before using the charger •Keep
the charger in a dry place •
In order to avoid the risk of fire and/or electric shock,
the charger must be protected against high humidity and water •Do not plug in
the charger if there are any signs of damage to the housing, cables, mains adaptor
or DC connector. In case of defect, please return to an authorised service centre
Keep out of reach of children •Do not operate the device without adult
supervision •Do not attempt to open the charger •Disconnect the device from the
mains supply after use To clean the charger, disconnect it from the power adaptor
and use a dry cloth only •If the safety instructions are not followed, this may lead
to damage to the charger or batteries or even serious injury to the user.
OPERATION
Plug in the charger to the mains. The charger starts automatically when one or
more cells are inserted into the charging slots. Always connect the cells in the
right direction for polarity (according to the symbols in the charging slots). The
cells do not have to be inserted simultaneously as the charging processes are
separate from each other.
THE MAXIMUM CHARGING TIME FOR EMPTY CELLS CAN BE CALCULATED
WITH FOLLOWING FORMULA:

Rechargeable batteries are not to be disposed of in domestic waste. Return used
batteries to your dealer or to a battery recycling collection point.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
To ensure correct functioning of the charger, keep the contacts of the base
station and the adaptor units free from dust and dirt. Do not attempt to open the
charger. Repairs should only be carried out by authorised service centres.
