1) Passwirefromxturethoughstemandscrewstemtotopofxture.
NOTE: Threadlockingcompoundmustbeappliedtoallstemthreads
asnotedwithsymbol(3)topreventaccidentalrotationofxtureduring
cleaning,relamping,etc.
2) Passxturewirethroughremainingstemsandscrewstemstogether.
3) Threadonesmallthreadedpipeintoendofeachsmallloop.
4) Attachsmalllooptoendoflaststem.
5) Passthreadedpipeatendofsecondsmallloopthroughholeincanopy.
6) Sliplockwasheroverthreadedpipeprotrudingfrominsideofcanopy
andscrewhexnutontothreadedpipe.
7) Attachchainlinktosmallloopatendofstemandtolooponcanopy.
8) TURN OFF POWER.
IMPORTANT:Beforeyoustart,NEVERattemptanyworkwithout
shuttingofftheelectricityuntiltheworkisdone.
a) Gotothemainfuse,orcircuitbreaker,boxinyourhome.Place
themainpowerswitchinthe“OFF”position.
b) Unscrewthefuse(s),orswitch“OFF”thecircuitbreakerswitch(s),
thatcontrolthepowertothextureorroomthatyouareworkingon.
c) Placethewallswitchinthe“OFF”position.Ifthexturetobe
replacedhasaswitchorpullchain,placethoseinthe“OFF”
position.
9) Findtheappropriatethreadedholesonmountingstrap.Assemble
mountingscrewsintothreadedholes.
10)Attachmountingstraptooutletbox.(Screwsnotprovided).Mounting
strapcanbeadjustedtosuitpositionofxture.
11) Groundinginstructions:(SeeIllus.AorB).
A) Onxtureswheremountingstrapisprovidedwithaholeandtwo
raiseddimples.Wrapgroundwirefromoutletboxaroundgreen
groundscrew,andthreadintohole.
B) Onxtureswhereacuppedwasherisprovided.Attachground
wirefromoutletboxundercuppedwasherandgreenground
screw,andthreadintomountingstrap.
Ifxtureisprovidedwithgroundwire.Connectxturegroundwireto
outletboxgroundwirewithwireconnector.(Notprovided.)Afterfollowing
theabovesteps.Neverconnectgroundwiretoblackorwhitepower
supplywires.
12)Makewireconnections(connectorsnotprovided.)Referencechartbelow
forcorrectconnectionsandwireaccordingly.
13)Pushxturetoceiling,carefullypassingmountingscrewsthroughholes
incanopy.
14)Securexturetoceilingwithknurlknobs.
15)Setglassthenspacerdownoversocket.IMPORTANT:Positionofeach
glasspieceshouldbeasillustrated.
16)Attachsocketringtosocketringtool.
17)Lowersocketringtoolwithsocketringattacheddownthroughglass.
Threadsocketringontosocket.Tightensocketringtosecureglassin
place.(DONOTovertighten.)
NOTE:Ifxturedoesnothangleveluseprovidedlevelingkit:Ontopsocket
withshortglass,slipasmanywashersrequiredtomakexturelevelover
socketthenattachsocketring.(Spacerwillnotbeusedonsocketwith
levelingkit.)
18)Insertrecommendedbulb.CAUTION: DONOTtouchbulbwithbare
hands.Ifthishappens,cleanbulbwithdenaturedalcoholandalintfree
cloth.
