Installation
! Before operating your new appliance please read
this instruction booklet carefully. It contains important
information concerning the safe operation, installation
and maintenance of the appliance.
! Please keep these operating instructions for future
reference. Pass them on to possible new owners of the
appliance.
The following instructions are provided for qualified
installers so that they may accomplish installation,
adjustment and technical maintenance operations
correctly and in compliance with current regulations
and standards.
Compliance with standards
This cooktop must be installed in accordance with
the requirements of local gas and electrical
authorities, as well as the latest published versions
of the following standards:
AS/NZS 5601 Gas Installation code
SAA Wiring Rules.
Important: the appliance should be disconnected
from the mains electricity supply before any
adjustment, maintenance, etc. is carried out.
Maximum caution should be used should it be
necessary to keep the appliance connected to the
electricity supply.
The appliance has the following technical
specifications:
Category: II 2
H3+
Adjacent cabinetry
The dimensions of the appliance are given in the
figure on page 7, and the location of connection
points in the table on page 6. For trouble-free
operation of appliances installed in housing units,
the minimum distances shown in fig.4 should be
observed. It is recommended that the adjacent
kitchen surfaces should be capable of withstanding
temperatures of 65°C. Also, the following must be
observed:
The appliance should be installed next to
cabinetry which is no taller than the top of the
cooker hob.
The wall in direct contact with the back panel of
the cooker must be made of non-flammable
material. During operation of the cooker, the back
panel of the cooker could reach a temperature of
50°C above room temperature.
Kitchen cabinets installed next to the cooker that
are higher than the top of the hob, must be at
least 600 mm from the edge of the hob itself.
If the hood is installed below a wall cabinet, the
latter must be at least 700 mm (millimetres) above
the surface of the hob.
Cabinets installed adjacent to the hood must be
at least 420 mm above the hob,
The following minimum clearances to combustible
materials must be observed:
Minimum clearance from edge of burner to side
wall must be 200 mm.
Minimum clearance from edge of burner to rear wall
must be 200 mm.
In the lower part of the cooker there are 4 height
adjustable screw-in feet with which it is possible to
level the cooker if necessary.
Kitchen ventilation
Where the total input of all appliances exceeds 3
MJ/h for each cubic metre of the room or enclosure
volume, the space shall be ventilated by one of the
methods detailed below. For the purpose of
assessing the adequacy of ventilation, the space
that cannot be isolated by doors is the volume of a
room.
Natural ventilation direct from outside
Two permanent openings shall be provided directly
to outside. The openings shall be located to ensure
the distance between the top of the upper opening
and the ceiling of the room or enclosure, and the
distance between the bottom of the lower opening
and the floor of the room or enclosure does not
exceed 5% of the height of the room or enclosure.
The minimum free ventilation area provided by each
opening shall be calculated using the following
formula:
A = 3 × T
where
A = the minimum free ventilation area (cm
2
)
T = the total gas consumption of all appliances
(MJ/h)
The minimum vertical dimension of any free
ventilation opening shall be 6 mm.
NOTE 1 When used in this Clause, the term directly
to outside means any one of the following options,
provided that the ventilation path is unobstructed by
building material or insulation:
(a) Directly through an outside wall (preferred
option).

(c) Into a cavity ventilated to outside.
(d) Into an underfloor space ventilated to outside.
(e) Into a roof space ventilated to outside.
NOTE 2 The two openings may be combined
provided that the top and bottom of the opening
reach the limits set by this Clause.
Natural ventilation via adjacent room
Two permanent openings shall be provided in the
room or enclosure. The openings shall be located to
ensure the distance between the top of the upper
opening and the ceiling of the room or enclosure,
and the distance between the bottom of the lower
opening and the floor of the room or enclosure does
not exceed 5% of the height of the room or
enclosure.
The minimum free ventilation area provided by each
opening shall be calculated using the following
formula:
A = 6 × T
where
A = the minimum free ventilation area (cm
2
)
T = the total gas consumption of all appliances
(MJ/h)
These requirements shall apply to all subsequent
rooms until a room is ventilated to outside, in
accordance with the previous section, or the total
input of the appliances does not exceed 3 MJ/h for
each cubic metre of the total volume of the
enclosure and rooms.
The minimum vertical dimension of any free
ventilation opening shall be 6 mm.
NOTE: The two openings may be combined
provided that the top and bottom of the opening
reach the limits set by this Clause.
If an electric fan is used for extracting the
combustion products, the ventilation aperture must
be increased in relation to its maximum
performance. The electric fan should have a
sufficient capacity to guarantee an hourly exchange
of air equal to 3 ÷ 5 times the volume of the kitchen.
Prolonged, intensive use of the appliance may
require extra ventilation, e.g. an open window or a
more efficient ventilation system by increasing the
extraction power of the electric fan if installed. Liquid
petroleum gas descends towards the floor as it is
heavier than air. Apertures in the outside walls in
rooms containing LPG cylinders should therefore be
at floor level, in order to allow any gas from leaks to
be expelled. Do not store LPG cylinders (even when
empty) in basements or rooms below ground level; it
is advisable to keep only the cylinder in use in the
room at any one time and connected far from heat
sources which could raise its temperature to above
50 °C.
Range hoods
Range hoods and overhead exhaust fans must be
installed according to manufacturers instructions
but in no case shall clearance from hob burners be
less than 600 mm for range hoods and 750 mm for
overhead exhaust fans.
If the hood is installed below a wall cabinet, the
latter must be at least 700 mm (millimetres) above
the surface of the hob.
Safety Chain
In order to prevent
accidental tipping of
the appliance, for
example by a child
climbing onto the open
oven door, the supplied
safety chain must be
installed.
Ensure the chain is
secured to the rear wall
of the oven, and attach
the chain to a hook or screw secured to the wall
behind the appliance.
NOTE: If the cooker is placed on a base, measures
must be taken to prevent the appliance slipping
from the base.
This appliance is suitable for use with either a
flexible connection or rigid copper connection.
Check The Gas Type
Before installation, check that the gas type (natural
gas or LPG/Propane) of the cooker is suitable for the
gas type available to the installation. It is extremely
dangerous to use the wrong gas type with any
appliance, as fire or serious injury can result.
This cooker is supplied from the factory already set
for Natural Gas. To convert the cooker to LPG (or
back to Natural Gas from LPG), follow the directions
later in this section.
Fit regulator supplied for Natural Gas (if applicable)
at rear of appliance, and as close as practicable to
the appliance.
It is recommended that an isolating valve and union
be fitted, to enable simple disconnection for
servicing. These are to be in an accessible location.
Either a rigid metal pipe
with fittings in
compliance with the
standards in force must
be used for connecting
to the nipple union
(threaded ½G male
fitting) situated at the
rear of the appliance to
the right, or an
4
AUS
approved flexible hose of class B or D.
Should it be necessary to turn the fitting, the gasket
(supplied with the appliance) must be replaced.
If a flexible hose is used, it should be as short as
possible with a maximum length of 1.5 metres;
The flexible connection must be approved to
class B or D of AS/NZS1869 as a minimum.
it should not be bent, kinked or compressed;
it should not be in contact with the rear wall of the
appliance or in any case with parts which may
reach a temperature of 50°C;
it should not come into contact with pointed parts
or sharp corners;
it should not be subject to any pulling or twisting
forces;
it should be easy to inspect along its entire length
in order to be able to check its condition.
The supply connection point must be accessible
with the appliance installed.
The inner diameters of the pipe are as follows:
8 mm for LPG;
13 mm for Natural Gas.
Upon completion of installation, check the gas
circuit, the internal connections and the taps for
leaks using a soapy solution (never a flame). Also
check that the connecting pipe cannot come into
contact with moving parts which could damage or
crush it. Make sure that the natural gas pipe is
adequate for a sufficient supply to the appliance
when all the burners are lit
A pressure regulator, in compliance with the
standards in force, must be inserted when
connecting to a liquid gas supply (in a cylinder).
Adapting to different types of gas
To adapt the hob to a different type of gas from the
factory-set one (indicated on the rating plate at the
top of the hood or on the packaging), the burner
nozzles should be replaced as follows:
Remove the hob grids and slide the burners off
their seats.
Unscrew the nozzles (see figure), using a 7 mm
socket spanner and
replace them with
nozzles for the new
type of gas (see
table 1 "Burner and
nozzle
characteristics").
Reassemble the
parts following the
above procedure in
the reverse order.
On completing the operation, replace the old
rating label with the one showing the new type of
gas; the sticker is available from our Service
Centres.
Adjusting the primary air of the burners The
primary air of the burners does not need to be
adjusted.
Adjusting the low flame
Turn the tap to the low flame position;
Remove the knob
and turn the
adjusting screw,
situated to the right
of the tap (see figure)
until you obtain a
regular small flame,
using a screwdriver
(loosening the screw
increases the height
of the flame,
tightening decreases it).
N.B.: In the case of liquid gas, the regulation
screw must be screwed in all the way.
Having obtained the low flame setting required
and with the burner lit, abruptly change the
position of the knob several times from minimum
to maximum and vice versa and check that the
flame does not go out.
In appliances fitted with the safety device
(thermocouple), should the device fail to work with
the burners set to the low flame setting, increase the
low flame setting of the same on the adjusting
screw.
Once the adjustment has been made, remount the
seals on the by-passes using sealing wax or similar.
Duplicate Data
Plate
Where the data plate is obscured by cabinetry when
the cooker is in the installed position, place a
duplicate data plate on a surface of the cabinetry
adjacent to the cooker.
Electrical connection
THE APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
The appliance is designed to work with alternating
current at the supply voltage and frequency
indicated on the rating plate (situated on the rear
part of the appliance and on the last page of the
instruction booklet) or at the end of the instruction
booklet. Make sure that the local supply voltage
corresponds to the voltage indicated on the rating
plate.
ATTENTION: This appliance has a maximum
power exeeding 3kW; it is therefore necessary for
it to be connected to a socket able to support a
rated current higher than 13A (the appliance rated
current is
15A). Connecting the supply cable to

To connect directly to the mains supply, a double-
pole switch with a contact separation of at least 3
mm suitable for the load and complying with current
standards and regulations, must be fitted between
the appliance and the mains supply outlet. The
yellow-green earth wire must not be interrupted by
the switch. The supply cable must be in such a
position that no part of it can reach a temperature of
50 °C above room temperature. Do not use adapters
or shunts as they could cause heating or burning.
Before connecting to the power supply, make sure
that:
the limiter valve and the domestic system can
withstand the load from the appliance (see rating
plate);
the supply system is efficiently earthed according
to standards and laws in force;
the socket or double-pole switch are easily
accessible when the appliance is installed.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE THE ACCIDENT-
PREVENTION REGULATIONS RELIEVES THE
MANUFACTURER OF ALL LIABILITY.
Important: the wires in the mains lead are coloured
in accordance with the following code:
Green & Yellow - Earth
Blue - Neutral
Brown - Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead may
not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as
follows:

Start-up and use
Hob operation
The burners are fitted with automatic ignition and a
thermocouple safety device, which automatically cuts
off the gas from the burner in a few seconds if the
flame accidentally goes out during operation.
The burners differ in size and power. Choose the most
appropriate one for the diameter of the cookware
being used.
Each burner can be regulated with the corresonding
control knob by using one of the following settings:
Off n
High flame
Low flame
The symbols near the knobs show the position of
the relative burner on the hob.
To ignite a burner, proceed as follows:
turn the relative knob counter-clockwise until the
pointer is on the high-flame symbol;
press the knob down fully and activate the
automatic gas ignition by pushing at the same time
the button marked with the symbol
;
keep the knob pressed down for about 10 seconds
with the flame lit to allow the safety thermocouple to
be heated;
release the knob, checking that the flame is stable.
If it is not, repeat the operation.
Check that the gas has been lit. If the burner fails to
ignite try again. If the burner fails to ignite after 3
attempts, wait a few minutes for the gas to disperse
before making any further attempts.
If the burner still fails to ignite, a match or lighting
device can be used, but care must be taken. If the
problem persists, contact place of purchase or their
appointed agent for service.
If the flame has excessive yellowing, or appears to
lift off the burner ports, or makes a loud noise, turn
the burner off and call your service agent.
For minimum power, turn the knob towards the low
flame symbol. Intermediate positions are possible
by simply putting the knob anywhere between the
high and the low flame symbol.
To turn off the burner, turn the knob clockwise to the
off position "
" .
Important:
Do not activate the automatic ignition device for
more than 15 consecutive seconds.
Difficulty in ignition is sometimes due to air inside
the gas duct.
If a burner flame accidentally goes out, the gas
continues to exit for a few moments before the
safety device activates. Turn the control knob to the
off position and do not attempt ignition again for at
least 1 minute, thereby letting the gas disperse,
which could otherwise be a danger.
When the appliance is not in operation, check that
the knobs are in the off position "
" . The main gas
supply cut-off cock should also be closed.
Lighting the burners for the first time
If the appliance is being used for the first time, or if
it has not been used for a long period of time, it may
be necessary to purge the gas lines of excess air
before you can successfully light the burners.
To do this, turn each burner to High for 10-15
seconds and press the ignition button several times.
If the burner does not light, repeat this procedure
twice more. Wait 1-2 minutes for any gas build up to
disperse before allowing any further gas flow.
Using the burners:
To obtain maximum efficiency from the burners, it is
advisable to only use pans with a diameter suitable for
the burner being used, so that the flame does not
extend beyond the pan base (see following table).
When a liquid starts boiling, it is advisable to turn the
flame down just enough to keep the liquid
simmering.
Burner ø Cookware Diameter (cm)
Fast (R) 24 - 26
Semi Fast (S) 16 - 20
Auxiliary (A) 10 - 14
Triple Crown (TC) 24 - 26
Always use cookware with a flat base. Do not use
pans which are unstable or which have a warped or
damaged base.
Ensure the pot sits securely on the trivet and is
centred above the burner.
The hob is fitted with reducing pan stands, which
should only be used on auxiliary burner "A".

MULTI-FUNCTION OVEN
The oven offers nine combinations of heating
elements; so the most suitable combination may
therefore be chosen for each dish, with convincing
results.
By turning the selector knob marked with the symbol
, different cooking modes are obtained, as shown
in the following table:
After having selected the heat source, put the
thermostat knob (marked with the symbol
) onto
the temperature required.
For traditional cooking (roasts, biscuits, etc.) in
conventional mode use the
mode (hot above +
below).
Only put the food to be cooked into the oven when
it has reached the selected temperature and
preferably use just one shelf for cooking.
To provide heat only to the bottom or the top part
of the dishes, turn the selector to the position
(hot below) or (hot above);
With this
(fan assisted)mode heat is
transmitted to the food through pre-heated air
made to circulate inside the oven by a fan. The
oven heats up very quickly so the food to be
cooked may be put into the oven as soon as it is
switched on. Cooking is also possible
simultaneously on two shelves.
The fast defrostingfunction
uses no heating
elements, just the oven light and the fan.
Grill operation: a high heat output is used for
grilling, so that the surface of the food is
immediately browned; this is particularly indicated
for meats which should remain tender on the
inside.
To grill, turn the selector knob to one of these
positions:
(grill), (maxigrill), (maxigrill +
fan).
During grilling, do not set the thermostat knob to
above 200°C and keep the oven door closed.
Spit - Rotisserie
Insert the meat to be cooked along the length of the
spit rod, securing it with the special adjustable forks
(see figure).
Introduce the supports Aand B(see figure) into
the holes in the drip tray E, rest the rod groove on
the seat Cand insert the oven rack into the lowest
guide of the oven; now insert the spit rod into the
relative hole, moving the groove forward into seat
D. Start the rotisserie by turning the selector knob
to one of the following positions:
(grill),
(maxigrill), (maxigrill + fan).
Oven light
The oven light comes on automatically when the
selector knob
is turned to any of its positions.
Indicator light
It indicates that the oven is heating up. When the
light goes out, the required temperature has been
reached inside the oven.
When the light alternately comes on and goes out, it
means that the thermostat is working properly to
maintain the oven temperature.
Installing the shelves
When inserting the shelves onto the guide rails,
ensure the raised section is towards the rear of the
oven. This prevents food from falling off the back of
the tray.
Cooking tips
Cooking times may vary according to the nature of
the foods, their homogeneity and their volume. When
cooking a certain food for the first time, it is
advisable to choose the lowest values in the cooking
time range given in the table and then increase them
if necessary.

Precautions and tips
This appliance has been designed and
manufactured in compliance with international safety
standards. The following warnings are provided for
safety reasons and must be read carefully.
Practical advice on using the appliance
To obtain the best results from your hob:
Use flat-bottomed pans to ensure that they adhere
to the cooking zone perfectly.
Always use pans with a diameter that is large
enough to cover the hotplate fully, in order to use
all the available heat.
Make sure that the bottom of the cookware is
always dry and clean to guarantee correct
adherence and durability, not only for the cooking
zones but also for the cookware itself.
Avoid using the same cookware that is used on
gas burners: the heat concentration on gas
burners may have warped the base of the pan,
causing it not to adhere to the surface correctly.
Never leave a cooking zone on without cookware
placed on it because it heats up and rapidly
reaches the maximum level, which could damage
the heating elements.
General Appliance Warnings
Read the recommendations in this instruction
booklet carefully, as they give important advice
regarding safe installation, use and maintenance.
Keep this booklet in a safe place for further
reference when required.
This appliance is not suitable for marine craft,
caravans or recreational vehicles.
This appliance has been designed for private,
nonprofessional use in normal dwellings.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure they do
not play with this appliance.
Always make sure the knobs are in the OFF
position when the appliance is not in use.
The openings used for ventilation and dispersion
of heat must never be covered.
During operation, the oven glass door, adjacent
parts of the appliance and the internal sections of
the appliance become hot. Care should be taken
to avoid touching any of these parts.
Accessible parts may become hot during use. To
avoid burns young children should be kept away.
The appliance was designed for domestic use
inside the home and is not intended for
commercial or industrial use.
Installation Warnings
The appliance must not be installed outdoors,
even in covered areas. It is extremely dangerous
to leave the appliance exposed to weather.
The appliance must be installed by a qualified
person in compliance with the instructions
provided, and should be used for the purpose for
which it was designed. Any other purpose (for
example, heating the room) constitutes improper
use of the cooker and is dangerous. The
manufacturer shall not be held responsible for any
harm caused to persons or animals or for any
damage to property resulting from incorrect
installation, or caused as a result of improper,
incorrect or unreasonable use of the appliance.
The electrical safety of this appliance is only
guaranteed when it has been correctly connected
to an efficient earthed electricity supply in
compliance with current electrical safety
regulations. This is a fundamental safety
requirement that must be checked and, if there is
any doubt, you should ask a professionally
qualified technician to carry out a thorough check
of the supply system. The manufacturer may not
be held responsible for any damage caused by a
mains supply that has not been earthed correctly.
Before connecting the appliance, make sure its
rating (which can be found on the appliance itself
and/or on the packaging) corresponds to the gas
and electrical power supply.
Make sure that the mains supply and the
electrical sockets can withstand the maximum
power of the appliance, which is indicated on the
serial number plate. If there is any doubt, contact
a professionally qualified technician.
Some parts are covered with a removable scratch-
proof film. Before using the appliance the film
should be removed and the underlying part
cleaned with a cloth and a non-abrasive
household cleaning product. When switching on
for the first time, it is advisable to heat the empty
oven at maximum temperature for about 30
minutes to eliminate any residue from

manufacture.
In order to prevent accidental tipping of the
appliance, for example by a child climbing onto
the open oven door, the supplied safety chain
must be installed. Refer to the installation section
of this manual for details.
Safety With The Cooktop
Never leave cooking food unattended. Do not
allow the liquid to boil dry
Do not use asbestos mats or heat diffusers, as
these trap the heat and can cause damage to the
cooktop from overheating.
Dont wear loose clothing while cooking, as
garments may catch utensil handles or catch fire.
Use dry utensil holders. Wet pot holders can build
up steam. Do not use towels or other large pieces
of cloth to pick up cooking utensils, as these may
touch the heating element and catch fire.
Do not allow pot handles to overhang other
burners that are in use, as this will cause
scorching of the handle, and potential handling
burns.
Always make sure that pan handles are turned
towards the centre of the hob in order to avoid
accidental burns.

Care and maintenance
Switching the appliance off
Disconnect your appliance from the electricity
supply before carrying out any work on it.
DO NOT TOUCH HOT SURFACES. ALLOW
COOKTOP AND ALL OVEN SURFACES TO COOL
COMPLETELY BEFORE CLEANING.
Cleaning the appliance
Do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents (for
example, products in spray cans for cleaning
barbecues and ovens), stain removers, anti-rust
products, powder detergents or sponges with
abrasive surfaces: these may scratch the surface
beyond repair.
Never use steam cleaners or pressure cleaners on
the appliance.
To extend the life of your oven, it must be cleaned
frequently, keeping in mind that:
The self-cleaning panels (if present) and the
enameled parts should be washed with warm
water - abrasive powders and corrosive
substances should be avoided;
The inside of the oven should be cleaned
immediately after use with warm water and soap;
the soap should be rinsed away and the interior
dried thoroughly;
Stainless steel can be stained if it remains in
contact with agressive detergents (containing
phosphorus) or water with a high lime content. We
recommend that you rinse these parts thoroughly
and dry them well after cleaning. It is also a good
idea to dry any water spills;
Never line the bottom of the oven with aluminium
foil because the buildup of heat will not only
impede the cooking process, but could also
damage the enamel.
Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or materials,
or metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass
since these can scratch the surface, which may
result in shattering of the glass.
Never use steam cleaners or pressure cleaners on
the appliance.
Changing the oven light bulb
Cutoff the supply of power to the oven by turning
off the omni-polar switch connecting it to the
mains, or by removing the plug if it is accessible;
Unscrew the glass cover attached to the lamp
holder;
Unscrew the lamp and replace it with another
high-temperature lamp (300°C) with the following
characteristics:
- Voltage: 230/240 V
- Wattage: 15W
- Socket: E14
Remount the glass cover
and reconnect the
appliance to the power
supply.
Disassembling/assembling the oven door
To make it easier to clean the inside of your oven,
the oven door can be removed, by proceeding as
follows:
Open the door completely and lift the 2 levers B;
Now, shutting the door slightly, you can lift it out
by pulling out the hooks A as shown in figure.
To reassemble the door:
With the door in a vertical position, insert the two
hooks A into the slots;
Ensure that seat D is hooked perfectly onto the
edge of the slot (move the oven door backwards
and forward slightly);
Keep the oven door open fully, unhook the 2
levers B downwards and then shut the door
again.
Inspect The Oven Seals
Check the door seals around the oven door
regularly.
If the seals are damaged, please contact your
nearest Ariston Service Centre. We recommend that
the oven is not used until worn seals have been
replaced.
Cleaning The Cooktop
Always wipe spills up when they occur. Do not leave
spills to dry onto the surface of the hob.
It is usually enough to wash the hob with a damp
sponge and dry it with absorbent kitchen roll.
NOTE: Do not put hot components in cold water. The
sudden temperature shock could cause the
component to crack.
Do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents such as
stain removers, anti-rust products, powder
16
AUS
detergents or sponges with abrasive surfaces: these
may scratch the surface beyond repair.
Burners
Wait for the cooktop to cool completely. Remove the
burner cap and check the gas outlet holes for
blockages. Clean with a soft bristle brush and warm
soapy water.
The removable parts of the burners should be
washed frequently with warm water and soap and
any burnt-on substances removed.
Dry the burner parts thoroughly before replacing.
Ignitors
The terminal part of the electronic instant lighting
devices and flame failure probes should be cleaned
frequently,
Enamelled parts (trivets)
Never use abrasives, scouring pads or sharp
objects. This will cause irreparable damage to the
enamel.
Clean the enamelled parts with soapy water when
cold and wipe off with a clean, dry cloth. The enamel
could dull if cleaned while still hot.
Stainless steel and chromed parts
Stainless steel can be marked by hard water that
has been left on the surface for a long time, or by
aggressive detergents containing phosphorus. After
cleaning, rinse and dry any remaining drops of
water.
Use commercial products designed for cleaning
stainless steel and chromed steel, and follow the
makers instructions. Care should be taken when
cleaning around graphics.
Never use steam cleaners or pressure cleaners on
the appliance.
Grill Plate
We recommend that the grill plate be cleaned while
it is still hot, using the knobs provided to move it
from the cooking rack to the sink. Wash the grill
plate with hot water and non-abrasive detergent.
