Dear Customer,

Thank you for purchasing this Hendi appliance. Please read this user manual carefully before using the

appliance in order to prevent damage due to incorrect use. Read the safety instructions in particular very

carefully.

Safety instructions

• Incorrect operation and improper use of the appliance can seriously damage the appli-

ance.

• The appliance may only be used for the purpose for which it was designed. The manu

-

facturer accepts no liability for damage as a result of incorrect operation and wrong use.

• Keep the appliance away from water and any other liquids. If the appliance should acci

-

dentally fall into water, have it checked by a certiﬁed technician.

• Never try to open the housing of the appliance yourself.

• Do not insert any objects into the housing of the appliance.

• Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or otherwise damaged. Have it checked

and repaired, if necessary, by a certiﬁed repair company.

Large digital scale

The scale is equipped with and easy to read, energy-saving LCD display.

Preparing the appliance for use

• Remove all the packing material

• Insert 2 x AAA battery in the battery compart-

ment at the back side of the display

• Press the ‘ON/OFF’ button. The scale is now

ready for use.

Instructions for use

Weighing

• For optimal results, place the scale on a ﬂat

surface.

• Turn on the scale by pressing the ‘ON/OFF’ but-

ton, An “0.00” will appear on the display and the

scale is now ready for use.

• Select the desired measuring unit by pressing

the ‘MODE’ button. In this way you can choose

between lb, lb & oz, and kg.

• Set an empty bowl or container on the scale. The

display will now indicate the weight of the bowl

or container.

• Press the ‘TARE’ button to reset the scale to

“0.0”

• Place the product to be weighed in the bowl or

container and read its weight on the display

• You can weigh various products in the same

bowl by pressing the ‘TARE’ button after adding

each product, which will reset the display to

“0.0” each time. Remember not to exceed the

maximum weight of 100 kg.

• If you want to “hold” the display ﬁgure, press the

‘HOLD’ button once. To release the “hold” func-

tion, press the ‘HOLD’ button once again.

• Turn off the scale by pressing the ‘ON/OFF’ but-

ton.

• If you do not use the scale for 5 minutes, it will

shut off.

Low battery

When battery is running out of power, the power indicator on the display will start blinking to alert the user

to replace batteries.

Overload

Maximum weight of the scale is 100kg, when overloaded the display will show “O-Ld”. Overloading the scale

can damage the scale permanently.

Warranty

Any defect affecting the functionality of the appli-

ance which becomes apparent within one year af-

ter purchase will be repaired by free repair or re-

placement provided the appliance has been used

and maintained in accordance with the instructi-

ons and has not been abused or misused in any

way. Your statutory rights are not affected. If the

appliance is claimed under warranty, state where

and when it was purchased and include proof of

purchase (e.g. receipt).

In line with our policy of continuous product de-

velopment we reserve the right to change the

product, packaging and documentation speciﬁca-

tions without notice.

Discarding & Environment

At the end of the life of the appliance, please dis-

pose of the appliance according to the regulations

and guidelines applicable at the time.

Throw packing materials like plastic and boxes in

the appropriate containers.
