1. After taking the unit out of the box, inspect the machine for damage and missing
parts using the inventory sheet provided in the waste bin.
Note: Some items are in the FMU container

Side and Back Panels
2. Remove the side and back panels.
Note:
It is necessary to
remove the back panels
in order to effectively
access the water ports
and electrical
connections.
Removing the bean
hoppers gives easier
access to the fastening
screws holding the main
back panel.

Remove fastening
screws from FMU back
plate.
Note: FMU backplate
also requires FMU to
remain unlocked.
Press in an upward
motion under the side
panel and lift the
panel off the side of
the main unit.

Attach FMU to Main Unit
3. Route milk line from FMU to Main Unit.
Route the line through
the access port on the
side of the main unit.
Guide the line
between the main unit
bulk head and the
ES18 Brewer.
Pro Tip:
Running the line through the rubber
sleeve that holds the other dispense lines
will keep the line clear of the moving
parts during operation.

Trim the milk line to
remove excessive slack
and insert the end into
the center John Guest
on the dispense
assembly.

Attach FMU to Main Unit
4. Fasten FMU and Main Unit.
Align the rear two
fastening bolts on
the FMU with the
respective slot on
the main unit.
Pushing both units
together slide the
FMU backwards
until the security
pin locks in place.
When putting the units together ensure
the power transfer cable is routed
through the port shown below.
Keeping the cable
clear of
obstructions and
the back plate path,
insert the power
transfer plug into
the Main Unit.

5. Hook up the system plumbing.
Using the 5/16” John Guest T-
Connector kit found in the FMU
container, assemble the water input
line as shown in the image on the
right.
Note:
Line from filter or flowjet pump needs to be stepped down to a 5/16” line
to make a proper fit into the system.

6. Connect the power from source to the FMU.
Using the
electrical plug
found in the
catch tray,
connect the
FMU to the
power source.
Note:
If the cable is routed on top of the water line, it will create conflict during
the installation of the back panel.

Waste Bin and Drip Tray
7. Install the Waste Bin and Drip Tray.
Insert the drip tray and waste bin in the respective void.
Note:
If the bin or tray is not properly seated a error will trigger.
