7. Start-up
7.1 Start-up of the ES module
Fully connect the desired draw-in protection system whilst
de-energised.
Depending on the type, use DIP 1 to select the supply
voltage 12 or 24VDC (factory setting 12V).
Use DIP 2 to select the desired monitoring direction (factory
setting: during ascent).
Connect the enclosed BUS cable with the module and the
gate control.
If multiple modules are used, connect one module with the
gate control and the further modules with each other.
Switch on the mains voltage to the gate control.
The modules now start the automatic addressing and detec-
tion of the connected systems (chaseLED1-4).
Following successful teach-in, LED1 lights up (green), as well
as the LED for the active draw-in protection (LED 2 and/or 3).
Please note:
If further draw-in systems are connected at a later point in
time, or if these do not function correctly during 1st start-up,
the unused inputs of the draw-in protection are deactivated.
The function is also guaranteed here with just 1 draw-in
protection system! In this case, reset the MSBUS. You can
nd the menu item RESET MSBUS in the input menu for the
gate control. You can nd further information on this in the
operating manual for the gate control.
Please note:
Only one module is possible for open and close respectively.
2modules are not supported for the same direction of travel!

7.2 I/O module start-up
Fully connect the required inputs and outputs whilst de-
energised.
Using DIP 1+2, select the desired address (factory setting:
address 1 DIP 1+2 OFF).
Connect the enclosed BUS cable with the module and the
gate control.
If multiple modules are used, connect one module with the
gate control and the further modules with each other.
Please note:
Each address may only be used 1x!
Switch on the mains voltage to the gate control.
The modules now start the automatic addressing
(chaseLED1-8).
Following successful addressing, only the LEDs of the active
inputs or outputs are still illuminated.
If address 1 has been selected (factory setting), the input
menu for the gate control shows the additional relays 11-14
or inputs 11-14. With address 1, the two-way trafc function
is automatically pre-assigned.
If address 2 has been selected, the input menu for the gate
control shows the additional relays 15-18 or inputs 15-18.
Please note:
Addresses 3+4 are presently not supported!
Address 1 = 11 - 14

Input 11= Open outside
Input 12= Open inside
Input 13 = Close button
Address 2 = 15 - 18
If address 2 is set, all relays are deactivated according to fac-
tory settings (MOD28) and must be congured via the input
menu for the gate control.
