Heating the water to a specific temperature
The appliance has a setting allowing you to specify your desired water tempera-
ture. You can set a temperature of 70°C, 80°C, 90°C or 100°C.
♦ Before starting the heating process, press one of the temperature buttons
to choose the desired temperature. The pressed temperature button
will
light up blue.
♦ Afterwards, press the
button to start the heating process. The set
temperature cannot be changed while the appliance is heating up.
♦ As soon as the water reaches the set temperature, you will hear a beep and
the appliance will switch to the keep-warm function. The temperature button
and button will light up blue.
Keep-warm function
The keep-warm function allows you to keep heated water at a specific tempera-
ture for an extended period of time. As soon as the water temperature in the jug
sinks below the set temperature, the appliance will automatically heat it to that
temperature again.
The keep-warm function only activates if a temperature of 70°C, 80°C or 90°C
has been set. The
button will light up blue when activated. The keep-
warm function remains active for 30 minutes. The appliance will then switch off
automatically.
NOTE
► If you remove the jug
from the base while the keep-warm function
is activated, the heating process will stop and the control lamp
flashes
blue.
► If you place the jug
back on the base within 3 minutes, the keep-
warm function will remain active. The
button and the relevant temper-
ature selection button
light up blue again.
► If you do not place the jug
back onto the base within 3 minutes, the
appliance will switch off automatically. The control lamp goes out.
♦ Press the
button to turn off the keep-warm function manually.
Overheating protection
If the appliance overheats, the overheat protection automatically switches off the
heating element inside the appliance. The overheating protection is activated if
the appliance is switched on while the jug
contains no or not enough water.
If the heating element has been switched off by the overheating protection, allow
the appliance to cool down before using it.
