Note: Deter mine the left and right sides of the mac hine from the nor mal operating position.
Note: T his installation of this kit will require drilling holes into the mac hine c hassis . A v oid damaging
the mac hine b y understanding what is behind the surface to be drilled and tak e precaution not to har m
any inter nal par ts .

Preparing the Machine

Procedure
Lo w er the loader ar ms , stop the engine and
remo v e the k ey .
1. Open the rear co v er b y unlatc hing the fastener
on the left side of the mac hine ( Figure 1 ).
2. R emo v e the fasteners securing the latc h to the
mac hine . Discard latc h and fasteners ( Figure
1 ).

the hing e co v er , hing e , and fasteners and
discard.

Installing the Side Cover

Procedure
1. Locate the left and right side co v er suppor ts
in the loose par ts .
2. On the left side of the mac hine , measure and
mark at the location as sho wn in Figure 3 .
Measure 2-7/8 inc h bac k from the frame edg e
along the base of the control panel frame and
1/2 inc h up .

diameter hole here

3. Drill a 15/64 inc h diameter hole a the mark ed
location.
Important: T ak e caution not to dama ge
an y inter nal machine components dir ectl y
behind the mar k ed location when drilling
the holes.
4. Scribe a line through the drilled hole , parallel
to the bottom edg e and along the side of the
control panel frame .
5. Using the left side co v er suppor t as a template
( Figure 4 ), align the upper , forw ard hole with
the hole drilled in ste p 3 .
6. Inser t a screw to in the upper , forw ard hole of
the co v er and rotate the co v er until the rear ,
upper hole sho ws the line scribed previously
( Figure 4 ). Mark the location of the upper , rear
hole and mark the location of the lo w er hole
in the co v er .

15/64 inc h diameter holes in the locations
mark ed.

8. Install the co v er using 3 bolts (1/4 x 3/4 inc h)
located in loose par ts ( Figure 4 ).
9. T o install the right rear co v er , re peat this
procedure on the opposite side of the mac hine
with the remaining co v er .

Procedure
1. Install the R-clamps with the Operator’ s Manual
tube to the rear co v er using 2 ri v ets and 2 bac k
w ashers located in loose par ts .
2. Install a knob and w asher in eac h cor ner of the
rear co v er as sho wn in Figure 5 . Secure eac h
knob and w asher with a retaining ring .

3. Install the rear co v er to the mac hine b y
inser ting the tabs on the lo w er end of the co v er
into the slots in the co v er suppor ts installed
earlier . Push the co v er forw ard and line up
the knob with the upper holes in the co v er
suppor ts . Tighten the knobs to secure the
co v er in place .
